Hi everyone! After having to cancel our trip this year due to a cancer diagnosis (I'm now currently cancer free!), I'm thrilled that we've re-booked for 2020! That said, I haven't been on a Disney Cruise for 5 years and I feel like I forget everything. When we went, we had to get tickets for princess meet & greets, spa, etc. when we arrived on the ship - is that still the same, or are there things that I can now book in advance? Any other tips and tricks for the Magic? We were on the Fantasy previously. Thanks so much for any and all input :) ps. we are a food-allergy family, so if anyone has info on dining, that would be great too :)

First, congratulations on your health. Many blessings sent to you.
My family is heading out on the Magic this Friday out of Miami.

I can’t help you with Princesses etc. I have 3 sons in their twenties.
Also, no food allergies here.

The Spa you can book in advance or when you get on board. Rainforest single passes have gone up to $34 for a single day. The Magic Rainforest on is much smaller than the Fantasy, no hot tubs.

I know you can book Biblibobdiboo Salon in advance for girls and boys(Pirate).

I would say keep reading the boards. Check DCL site and see what you can find there.

But, am sure someone will chime in with some information for you.

I am wishing you continued good health and have a wonder cruise!

When my family and I sailed on the Fantasy this past March 2019 they were no longer providing tickets for things like the meet and greets, breakfast, excursions, etc because it is not being provided on the App and you need to remember what day and time you have booked because the App (at that point, and if it has changed please let me know as we are sailing again this March 2020) and they are no longer providing the daily Navigators (unless you ask your room steward or you go to guess services to pick it up daily) as it is on the App.
One more thing, if you haven't already done so, you should notify Disney ASAP of all of your food allergies as they will take great care of you (speaking from someone who has several food allergies)
Have fun on your sailing :)

We had the same experience in March on the Magic, but by the summer, we were able to get information on the app. I seem to remember that it took several clicks though, so I can’t tell you exactly how we got it to work.

Great, thanks so much! We have done Disney World a few times with allergies, but our last cruise was pre-allergies, so I'm a bit nervous. Great to hear that they took care of you!
