Disney Magic Music Days

Does anyone know about the Disney Magic Music Days programs for youth groups...my daughters dancing school is going New Years week 2008 for a dance program that disney puts on. If anyone has any info on this or even how the crowds are that week please pm me or post a response.

When we were at the BWV last NYE, we had some dance classes staying there. I don't know too much about the program.

I went to two magic music days with marching band in high school. Probably not nearly the same thing but maybe some similarities. I know that we marched in MGM one year and Magic Kingdom the next and we actually got to see some behind the scenes areas to get where we were going. I bet though that different programs can book different trips and such.

Not that I know anything specifically but the week of new years sounds like it would be pretty busy since it's a holiday.

We went to Disney the day after Christmas for 2 weeks. The first week was very busy and New Years is a nightmare!!! After New Years very low numbers in the parks and we had a great time. We have gone with my daughter's marching band 2 times and are going again next week. I do know the director had to submit a tape of the band for approval by Disney to march. We usually book through a tour company for the trip and they take care of all the other details....booking rooms, getting food vouchers, etc. The program is about the same for marching band as it is for other groups...just that the band gets to march in one of the parades. We usually get a 4 day hopper pass, food vouchers for lunch and dinner, and bus transportation from Erie, PA. Two years ago we stayed on property and paid $700. This year we are staying off property, with free buffet breakfast at hotel, one food voucher for Disney, 4 day hopper pass and our transportation....cost of $579. It seems that they must give a good discount on the hopper passes for groups participating in this program.

all I know about this is that we get discount 4 day hopper passes, but only for 1 child and 1 chaperone. I really didnt know about hotel and food discounts. I guess ill just wait till the dance teacher get more info. I just like to plan ahead.

My daughter's dance team danced in DTD for Magic Music days last June. We were allowed to get as many discounted passes as we liked for however many family members were going. We all stayed at the same hotel, but the hotel prices were not discounted. Our dance teacher booked everyone as a group and you were not allowed to book your own room. Also, some people stayed longer and were allowed to get longer discounted passes.
