Haven't caught her in Port Canaveral in a long time, and looks so tiny compared to the newer ships.
For years and years the Wonder and Magic were the only Disney ships, the new ones are so much bigger.

Remember thinking the Magic and Wonder were big back in the day? ;)

I haven't been on a classic ship since 2015, and the Magic specifically since 2012. As much as I love the Dream and Fantasy, and I am a bit bummed not being on them this summer, I am very much looking forward to taking a spin on the classic, Magic. In looking at the deck plans as I have been doing recently, I forget how close some of the venues are to each other. I'm curious to see them in person again. :goodvibes

oooo thanks for mentioning it, I popped over to watch!

I think she looks plenty big, but I have only been on the Radiance of the Seas before :) haha

My first cruise was on the MS Mermoz, a ship with a passenger capacity of 645.
My second was on the SS Norway which had the largest passenger capacity at the time at 2, 000
We sailed on the Sovereign of the Seas which was then the largest cruise ship at 2,700 (about the same as the Magic and Wonder)
My last cruise was on the Celebrity Eclipse with a capacity of 2,800.....(but late seating dining was less than half full)
My next cruise is on the Enchanted Princess with a passenger capacity of 3,600. It will be my largest cruise ship experience depending on if it is sold out.

ima a huge wonder fan! i love the size, on the treasure now and size isnt bothering me like it has before but returning back to the wonder on my next

I remember being blown away at how big the Wonder was when I first sailed. Now, I look at it and consider her a "smaller" ship.

Going on the Magic over Labor Day. Super excited to be on the 3rd and final of the 3 classes of ships. Everyone has said the classic ships are fantastic!

We saw the Magic next to us in Cozumel 2023 when we were on the Dream.01b4091eb8d711badf439f67ec9ac0f544d954f6ef.jpg0121c0b5ea8e7a922e3c233b0c2ae02928159d093f.jpg

Tiny were those BIG RED BOATS that Disney had partnered with before starting their own cruise line. The company went bankrupt and one of the boats spent a while laid up at Freeport. It was sad to see it laying there on the beach...

It is so funny to look back and see how small, and I guess unimpressive those ships were. We sailed on the Oceanic in 1995 (Looney Toon characters by then, not Disney :( ) for our honeymoon...first cruise ever. We thought it was wonderful! DH stands by it was some of the best cruise food he's ever had (now with 35 cruises under our belts). It's really what started the cruise addiction for us. ;) Even though it rained pretty much the whole time, we loved it.

Sounds like a perfect honeymoon, and clearly it took, since it’s now 30 years and counting! Congratulations.
