Disney Magic Kingdoms

I got Zeus this morning! Hera at 6, hoping to get Zeus to 2 before the event ends.

Stupid question - but if you got all of the characters issued so far, how many characters would you have?

I've got every released character except King Candy, who is the Level 150 Season Pass reward.

Also, only working on leveling up 10 characters right now. Everyone else is at 10.

According to Reddit, which according to D_iscord, it’s Luisa, Sadness, Duchess, or Kermit; or otherwise 75 gems.

Bummer - I guess it is 75 gems for me. (I was really hoping for a character that I need, since I need so many.)

Bug's Life video coming tomorrow.

I'm done with the crab mini-event...got all the happiness. Five sand whirls away from being done with that one. New week for tasks starts soon and I'm sitting at Kingdom Pass level 128. The end is coming into sight...

At level 120 here and pretty happy about that. Have been playing Paper Mario 1000 Year Door on the Switch, and admittedly am not paying as much attention as I should to my Kingdom🤣

In bright news, plunked down 60 gems on a Pinocchio chest and got Pinocchio. Woot! That finished off the collection, and I got 20 of the gems back. Not too shabby

Patch notes for the Bug's Life event are up,and it looks like it's a pretty good update. They've taken the attractions out of the Attraction Enchantment chests and put them in Merlin's Shop! Also the return of bronze chests and the higher tier chests (resource, attraction enchantment) will be appearing in the park as well.

Okay, now you have piqued my interest. Don’t normally watch the updates, but this one sounds good!

Lots and lots in the patch notes. :) I read through it this morning and it honestly felt like a lot of work to understand it all. I gave up and figured I'd wait for the update on Tuesday to figure it all out.

It's Friday morning and I have 7 of 10 weekly tasks done. Two of the last three are parades and the other is completing 8 weeklies.

Pegasus Cloud tapper should start today for more happiness...I'm sitting at level 132 and just want this season to be over. :)

Me too! About 10 minutes after eyeing up the patch notes, I was back to playing Mario again already🤣

Some good things in the patch notes, but for newer players a lot of bad things, if I'm reading them correctly.

Seems that the chests will be changing dramatically (taking tokens out of them, which stinks when you are new and chests are your only opportunity to get tokens for a number of characters). Also - moving things from a chest to only available for elixer now means that new players will have zero chance to get them ever as you need to focus elixer purchases on the things you need to buy to get The Prince of the Forest (the ice rink) or Mim, etc.

And seems that elixer prices for tokens are mainly going up (and the common tokens will no longer be eligible for purchase with elixer). This basically means that new people will NOT be able to finish the daily tasks every day (because they don't have large amounts of elixer and/or benches sitting around to purchase something every day).

Guess we will see how this goes.

I'm annoyed that everything now needs elixir when I'm sitting on 354 million magic with nothing to spend it on. They are just trying to create scarcity to get people to pay more money for things in the game.

I wonder, since they removed the attractions for us to now buy,if eventually they'll start doing it for characters. I know I shouldn't get my hopes up,but I wonder if it will soon go that path because there's obviously a reason why they made those attractions available for purchase.

Yes, I was thinking that it would be a good time to enchant, if you can.... 600 relics or more ... WTH!

(Now, I'm assuming that we will get more in the chests, as they are taking tokens out of the chests, but still. That is crazy.)

And characters for elixer - that would be terrible (for newer players).

Now, if I was still a long term player with almost everything you could get for free (like I was before I lost 5 years of progress 2 years ago), I maybe would feel differently. But now I just see how these changes are making a game harder and harder for new people who aren't willing to spend thousands of dollars to catch up.

I threw a ton of stuff in my cauldrons. Over 300,000 elixir in my IOS game. Only 150K for Windows.

I ran out of the scrolls to enchant things to level 3, but I still enchanted a bunch.

I barely have any elixir left. Guess I should shove everything in the cauldron soon. It feels like they really want me to quit playing this game.

Yeah, once they had using elixir as a daily task, I assumed there would be shenanigans coming requiring tons of elixir. I haven’t been spending much outside of on relics. Entirely by accident, made a wise choice. More often that not, that’s the only way I make a wise choice
