Disney Magic for February 15, 2015-7night

Do I just call them to get this information? I had no idea it was available before the cruise.

Yes, if it is out for your cruise they can give it to you, and you can request a dining rotation. We always put in a request to help with planning. It isn't a guarantee, but it seems to be rare that a request for a rotation isn't granted if you don't have any other requests for dining. We want to plan so that we are in Palo our first night in Carioca's because it is our least favorite menu. Normally, your first night in each restaurant is the regular rotational menu, but I am wondering if Formal Night being night 3 will change that. They normally do the Captain's Gala on Formal Night.

Called DCL for dining rotation info today to start planning for Palo dinner and brunch. The info I got was that formal night is Tuesday, pirate night Thursday, and semi formal night is Friday. Nights 4 and 5 are in the same restaurant, and the rotation we asked for is ACLAACL. Just thought I would share and make sure no one else had gotten different info.

Thanks for getting this info I'll be calling tomorrow. I always thought they do captians gala towards the end of the cruise being formal night, strange that it is Tuesday. I'll post tomorrow after I call

I thought it was odd too, which is why I wanted to see if anyone else had been told the same thing. Please do let us know what they tell you!

Ok I couldn't wait just called them, and you are correct ....formal night is Tuesday 2.17.2015 (third night), pirate night is Thursday 2.19.15 (fifth night), semi Formal is Friday 2.20.15 (sixth night) and Captain Gala is Formal night.
Also requested our linked ressies with friends and own table, so that is one less thing to do tomorrow :)

I have to thank you all for your patience. Our cruise ended on a very sad note - my mother-in-law passed away while we were onboard. Once we returned home, we unpacked and repacked in 8 hours, left for her home and spent a week getting all of the necessary things done and arranged.

We are home for a brief period, so I am catching up on posts and emails...I have added a couple of people, and approved at least one who was pending. I have pending requests from these folks (first names only - in the idea of privacy!)

anyone know these folks??

Oh Cayla, I am sooo sorry, my deepest condolences to you both and your families . I was waiting to hear from you but figured that you were busy.
As far as requests I did message all of them and heard nothing back from them so I let them be till they decided to answer, if ever. Ill let you know if any reply to me.

Thank you Bela - please, if you don't mind, can you stay on as an admin? I will be pretty busy for a while and I am changing shifts to days (after 30 years on nights)...so I will be confused to say the least!

Thanks for checking! I just want sure with formal night being night 3. So the Gala is definitely on formal night? I noticed in some of the Fantasy itineraries it is semiformal night

....till our very 1st Disney cruise. Will be me (Angie), my hubby Jim, son Josh (2 weeks shy of 9yo at sailing) and daughter Hailey (7).
We are so very excited and plan try it all, including the FE.
Any helpful hints for newbies?

That is what the CM told me, but they aren't 100% and we are still a bit away so anything can happen

Hi everyone

Justing hitting up the forum to see what is happening

Curious if anyone has a recent Magic navigator they've gotten a hold of for our itinerary

We are also all in for the FE

We have 2 rooms
3 adults and 5 children

We also have about 5 other families traveling with us some of which will want to do the FE, I'm happy to help arrange it as well

This is my 12th Disney cruise and I'm and expert FE'er (if thats a word) - so feel free to hit me up with any questions or issues with Spa/dining/ports of call/children's issues

Ive done this particular itinerary 5 or 6 times- and its our favorite

Do we know what the other two rotations are? I think they may be these based on patterns from older Magic Westerns?

CLACCLA
LACLLAC

I have to apologize for my long absence...been a busy 2 months. We basically fell off the grid Labor Day weekend. My MIL was taken to the hospital for the 13th time this year (sigh) for yet another infection. She was supposed to be coming to NJ to visit with us for her birthday - well we went to her instead. We left for the Panama Cruise and California visit on 9/5...MIL passed away while we were on that cruise on 9/25. We were told to not fly home that day since there really was no reason. We did get home on 9/29 at 1am - dumped the luggage out and repacked to leave for Pa. Spent 3 days organizing stuff there, headed home for 36 hours for another obligation, then returned to Pa for another 3 days. Well...we also had our 1 year anniversary trip planned and paid for - so we got home on Sunday 10/5 and left again on 10/8. When that trip was over we have had OTHER family crises to deal with....long story short - I am just getting back onto the web and catching up on stuff.

SO - did I miss anyone's request for access to the other website? (can't use the initials - got yelled at by the Dis). Thank you Belac for your assistance!

Cayla

The ones still pending never ever got back to me so I think it is the same 7. I did reach out twice. The ones that did get back to me I added and I added a few that were confirmed so that's about all you missed.
Glad you are back and it was my pleasure so no thanks necessary.

Hi everyone! I am new to the board. My family of 4 were recently blessed to have won a 7 night Disney Cruise aboard the Disney Magic and are sailing on February 15, 2015. I am so excited to get connected to others who will be on board the ship. We have never been on a Disney Cruise before and cannot wait! Our family consists of Me (Mom - age 36) DH-42, DS- 15 and DD- 8. As this is our first DCL cruise, we want to make the most of it and be as involved in all the fun and planning as possible. Any of my fellow shipmates willing to share their valuable insights and experience? I am so concerned that since this is our first cruise, and we can't book port adventures or Palo until 75 days prior that everything we want will already be full? Do you all think I will have any problems? Is this group participating in the FE?? I would love to do that during our cruise. I am a total Disney-phile and an annual passholder to WDW. I feel so out of the loop on the cruises though. Thanks in advance for all your help. :wizard:

Welcome! I wanted to address this point for you about booking Palo and port adventures - on my first cruise (on the Magic, actually) I had no problem booking Palo or any of the adventures we wanted on the day my booking window opened. I wouldn't wait, but I wouldn't worry, either.
