Thanks for the great response, I've really enjoyed reading cruise reports, helps to keep the spirit going and a way to pay for all the enjoyment we got.
Yes we did book Oct 7th so we can do the B2B, My DD just told us yesterday that she is pregnant, hopefully with a little Granddaughter.
Castaway Cay April 21st- Our first chance to go to the adult area in six years, really thought it was going to be a God forsaken place to hide the old people. To our surprise it was really great, very hot but a nice breeze. Got two lounge chairs on the left on the entrance to the beach, probably had 30-35 people at any given time. We had the large inner tubes and enjoed floating around the bottom on the left has a lot of coral and is only like 2 feet all the way out, over on the right it's like a normal beach. My DW being only 5'2" really couldn't reach the water to paddle and the wind kind of took her out a ways so I had to go out and save her life. I think only her finger tips could touch the water. The water was very interesting, about a million little fish under an inch long. Late in the afternoon we saw several adults probably 12 inches Several people claimed to have seen a barracuda, I later learned this was propably so, as they have seen it many times before and is very friendly, hum! 15 to 20 feet off shore there must have been several bigger fish as they were flipping out of the water and having a great time. Luckily we brought some water and was able to get some ice at the bar. The soda and ice area at the buffet didn't open till 11:30. We've always eaten at Cookie's buffet and had planned to go their but we saw that Serenity Bay had there own, so lazy creatures that we had become we deciced to indulge, Thank goodness we did, the food was hot off the grill and to our surprise they were grilling steaks, never do I turn down the chance to partake of steer, very very good, especially hot off the grill into the bun I had on my tray, excellent lunch, will never miss this again.
Luminere's - Very sad time to be getting together for the last time, we really had some great tablemates, I had to talk to Penny & Rick about rebooking on board, as they didn't know when they'd be able to go again, but Friday night they took the plunge and did it. They emailed me today and were really glad I pestered them inti it. I did pester them too, everyday at dinner and twice at the pool. Had Beef Tenderloin with Asparagus and William potatoes. Interesting item, it was in the shape of a pear, I thought William shot an apple off his son's head, I guess I was wrong. Chicken Tenders for an Appetizer then a salad For dessert I had the World Famous Chocolate Lava Cake. Very good but short of World Famous.
Till we meet again is uplifting Can't wait to go back. Wish Disney was going to Alaska, apprehensive about sailing with HAL. Does that count as a Disney Cruise since I booked it through Disney? We offer the Magic a fond farewell till 9/30.
Had a 12:30 flight and got to MCO at 9:30 Shopped in the Disney store, very disappointing since they downsized, not a lot to buy. They line through security was humongus so we got in line at 10am, surprisingly we were through in 35 minutes. Security was out several times to check on people that had early flights. It seems you could probably get a 11am flight but really chancy, we had a 12:20 Flight to Phila, Had to circle Phila for an Hour before we could land..
Thanks so much for reading I'm so glad I can return the favor and good feeling, I can't imagine anyone not having a glorious time on our Boat!!!
