Disney Magic 12-9-2015

My family will also be on this cruise. I'm so excited to see a thread for it.:yay::yay:

I have 15-year old son & I'm wondering what it's like for a teen on a Disney Cruise. Are there many teenagers on board or is it mostly the 10 and under or 21 and over?

there are tons of teens, he will be so busy you will hardly see him. Leaving more time for you to enjoy the ship

:santa:
I can't wait for this cruise. We have sailed on the Disney Dream twice but this will be our first time on the Magic.

Has anyone Disney Cruised out of Miami before??? I have no idea what to expect. Super excited and nervous.

Update!!! We did it - we're booked!

I'm nervous about sailing out of Miami as well, but I found a thread about finding a good Miami hotel with transportation to the port, and booked my room today.

Here's a link to that thread. See my note about calling directly when there's no availability online.

Wow thanks. That was a great link. With 5 in our family, hotels and that can be a challenge. Comfort Suites has big rooms, free breakfast, and free shuttles. Ka-Chow!!:cool1:

Just one question... ...is it December yet????

Subbing in! My DH and I are booked on this cruise and looking forward to visiting Key West. :thumbsup2

My family and I will be attending this cruise to celebrate 3 occasions: My 33rd birthday, My son's 5th birthday and my niece's 5th birthday:bday:! We are Florida residents and reside in Miami, so this is our 2nd Disney cruise out of Miami!:sail: Our first Disney cruise was 2 years ago, also on the Magic and I participated in the fish extender exchange, which was awesome. I'm looking forward to this vacation and can't wait for December! :santa:

Is anyone else doing Orlando before the cruise? Is there a fish extender list started for this cruise? :hourglass

I haven't heard of a FE list for this one. But we would love to do it. :)

What a Fun birthday! My oldest turns 16 a few days after we get back.

We are tentatively booked on this sailing (our first DCL). It will ultimately depend on SIL finalizing her destination wedding plans.
I have a 6yr old DD and 1yr old DS. We are booked in GTY Inside Cabin (11B).
I definitely want to participate in a Fish Extender.

Tried to start a fish extender list using Google docs and was told this is apparently a no go. Not sure how to set one up any other way. If someone figures it out. I would like to participate and so would another couple we are traveling with. I am not sure if we are meant to sift through every post to find who wants to participate or if someone running the site sets this up. The message I got said we cannot put a link to any outside source but doesn't offer any words of wisdom on how to accomplish a list the proper way. I am confused. Anyone have any ideas?:crazy2:

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. Other information you would like to share such as first names, ages of child participants, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM (Conversations).

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one seems to be coming forward to organize a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right in this thread.

There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS. If anyone is interested in doing this, feel free to contact me for some suggestions.

If anyone is interested, I could keep a list going for a fish extender exchange. What info does everyone want included? What is a good cut off date? Once a month, I can send everyone interested an updated list and then a final list when we reach the cut off date. I would send these to you via PM. Also, does anyone want to get get together for a meet on the ship? I am not that familiar with the Disney Magic, but I am sure we could come up with a good meeting place and time. Let me know....Thanks

Yes - doing 4 nights at the VWL. My plan is to head to Miami the night before the cruise.
