Disney Magazine

I just got the latest Disney Magazine and although I knew they were shutting it down , I had heard that those with remaining subscription could change it to the 'family' magazine or get a refund. But the offer on my mag was the Family magazine or Disney Adventures magazine ...no option of a refund there!!! I don't want either magazine...I want my Disney Magazine!!!! If not the DM, then my money back. Still don't know the real reason for closing. I know all the info in the mag is available elsewhere, but there's something about getting the Mouse in the mailbox

...and to make things worse, the buck is over $1.27!!!! as of this afternoon ... this is not been a good day.

I agree with you, I would rather not have either magazine, as I don't have my own kids (I do work in a daycare though), and I don't want to read the Disney mag for kids. I would have much prefered a refund, and I JUST renewed my subscription. I was so upset that they were discontinuing the magazine.

We are totally with you! I only subscribed for the first time this year and my DS was sooo excited when it came in the mail. Wonder if my mag will show the same offer? Will let you know.

I mailed my 2 year renewal Easter weekend. I'll be asking for a refund.

Very disappointing, to say the least. Nice news to come home to on a Monday after work!

It does indicate at the bottom of one of the Subscription Reply Cards, that for subscribers not interested in receiving either Disney Adventures or Family Fun for the remaining unmailed issues of your subscription - please call 1-800-333-8734 to speak to a customer service representative.

I haven't tried the 1-800 # however, so I'm not sure it even works from Canada. Guess I will try tomorrow.

Hey piglets...I didn't notice that number...please tell us how it goes when you call.
...by the way, I had heard that some of the bigwigs at Disney were not happy about shutting down DM, and that there could possibly be a reprieve...but I'm not holding my breathe . The magazine was such a great forum for advertising the parks, TV, movies, etc. and I think I read that they had something like 500,000 subscribers!

It's my fault. My subscription ran out with this issue. When I didn't renew, they called it quits.

Just kidding, but it is kind of funny. They sent me the coupon to redirect my 0 remaining issues and everything.

I called them this morning to cancel my subscription and get a refund. There was no problem whatsoever. They just need your postal code and then your name and address to confirm who you are. Then they will credit your credit card.

I was really disappointed to learn that this was the last issue. I have no children either and so didn't want either of the other mags.

Thanks Mickey Fanatic...I'll call them shortly and do the same thing...maybe I'll put my refund in our "Disney fund" jar...that way it will still go towards my addiction ...by the way, did you mention to them your disappointment about shutting down? and if so, what was they're comments?
