Disney Luggage...anybody have it?

I have some Disney luggage I bought about 2 years. Its the red set. I paid $39 for the 3 piece set. I think it's held up really well. I mostly use the 2 smaller pieces and almost never check my luggage though.

same here:thumbsup2
same price
use the same 2 peices
rarely check luggage too!:rotfl:

We use a rolling duffle to fly now, as our suitcases are much too big to fly with the new restrictions. The brand is Forecast, and we also have a small carryon size rolling suitcase of the same brand. It has held up very well, and I know it wasn't very expensive. My step-MIL got it for us as a wedding gift and she is the ultimate bargain shopper! We also have a Ciao duffle bag that is at least 15 years old. It flew to the UK and to Florida, plus lots of train and bus travel abroad. And it survived the general abuse a college guy puts on a duffle! It has one tiny hole in it but I plan on patching it with an iron on patch from the inside. :)

So while Samsonite is AWESOME luggage, I'd recommend the above brands if you're looking for a less expensive alternative.

I got the three pieces set for my birthday, to use for my March trip. The largest bag's handle was broken when I got it  I couldn't believe it came that way! When I called to get it exchanged, they were very nice about it, though confused as to why it was billed to South Carolina and shipped to Maine....... On my trip (the first time I used it) The zipper went on the largest bag! I lOVE the set but am a little upset by this. The expanding zippers are great though and give a TON of extra space

I used my large one for the first time when I went on a cruise in August...and the WHEEL BROKE! Nowhere to be found, of course. It arrived at my room sans one wheel  . Brand new luggage that can't last one trip. :confused3 I'd love to get it fixed, just haven't found a place to fix it in my area, nor have I looked yet.

I have Eddie Bauer rolling suitcases from Target that I snagged for 75% off. They have held up WONDERFULLY!!!! The thing that I really like about them too is that the bag itself it extremely light weight. If you're not careful, some of the suitcases will weigh 10 lbs or more EMPTY!! :confused3 I can't afford to have that much weight tied up in the bag itself. My EB bags have gone to WDW 6 times or so and too many beach trips to count. Even at 1/2 price, they were a good deal at Target. Plus EB gives a 15 yr warranty on them. Good Luck. :goodvibes

I actually just saw them and was wondering how well they hold up. Did you fly on your trips? I'm definitely staying away from the Disney luggage now. I have one case from Dockers that I had gotten DS when he was a baby but it has never been on a plane. I really like it and saw some sales on them too but I just don't know how well they hold up on an airplane.:confused3 I really don't want to go spending a whole bunch of money on luggage since we don't ever fly but I also don't want something that will fall apart and I will need to replace anyway!

We have used our Disney luggage a couple of times and have had no problems. I ordered luggage for my DH off Ebay. I think the seller was "Lugage guy" They had really low rates, much less than what I could pay at the mall with no tax. Good luck.

I bought this set last year.. Im trying to remember but the first or second time I used it while going to WDW both pieces were ruined by the airline.. The bigger suitcase had the whole side crushed in and we couldnt fix it.. The smaller one had the whole bottom ripped off of it  Needless to say.. I wasnt happy!

we had 2 issues with Disney luggage but neither were the luggage being bad .

1st I had the "grumpy" carry-on stolen from our hotel room while we were at the park. The people at the desk said the housekeeping must have thought it was trash? ummm no it was brand new and filled with clothes (that they dumped into our larger suitcase)

2nd I bought MIckey luggage and it was destroyed on our flight from LAX to Kansas City it looked like someone took a box knife and cut off the entire back of the suitcase then they fixed it with duct tape. The lady at the desk said "it looks like it got caught in the machine OR was checked for smuggled items" lovely, not sure how I'd have gotten items INTO the back of the suitcase without making any openings in there ...maybe the drug sniffing dogs wanted the leftover Mickey Rice Krispie treats and barked at my bag l:rotfl:

we bought this years paintbrush Mickey bags and have them all ready to pack... I hope I have good luck with them this time :wizard:

We have two of the Mickey Tapestry roll-ons that have held up very well. We also have two of the lavender/white Hawaiian Tink roll-ons that are horrible! As a matter of fact, I just bought a new Samsonite because I was afraid the Tink suitcase would not make it thru another trip. The zippers they used are a very low quality.
