Disney lovers did one day at USO/IOA

Glad to hear you enjoyed Universal! As we say...welcome to the darkside :thumbsup2

I'm a big Disney lover and tried Universal for the first time since the 90s and I was really impressed. The Mummy ride and the Spider man ride were unbeleivable! I also thought that, for a kids ride, the Dr Seuss ride was fun and entertaining if you compare it to the Fantasyland rides in Disney. In the future, I will make sure to plan 2-3 days at Uni/IOA whenever I make a Disney World trip! Also, we love characters and it was awesome to get to meet cool characters like Homer, Marge, Lisa and Bart! What a nice surprise! Cant wait to try their new ride and also to see the Harry Potter addition! I'm hooked on Universal! :thumbsup2
That's always great to hear! :woohoo:

Count me in as a fan of both WDW and Universal !! :thumbsup2
They are both great !!

Thanks for the post. We really need to do a somewhat cheaper vacation this summer and could stay in a friend's Beach House at Daytona for $350 for the week. And the prices look really great on the US website. So figured we could do that a couple days, too and save lots of money vs spending the week in WDW. But love WDW and just nervous to try somthing new.

Totally off-topic, but may I say how excited I am to see so many new faces on the forum. Welcome newbies and oldies! We're always thrilled to answer questions and, even if you have only gone once, you still have valuable input.

Understandable you're 'nervous' trying something new...that's expected! Just do NOT compare the 2 parks... that is where a lot of Disney lovers go wrong.... Just enjoy it for what it is.

On another note, I hope you are not planning on staying at the Daytona house and commuting to Universal...it's kinda far for a 'day trip'. Staying one night at an onsite hotel will get you 2 days of unlimited Express Pass:thumbsup2 ....MUCH more affordable than Disney.

I agree....I think now that MOST vacations are over, holidays are approaching and then it's 'vacation time', most are starting to think about next spring/summer  I have noticed a LOT of new people over here asking questions lately...good to see 'new' people!
