We just returned from Disney and my daughter was a fish in the pool with her life vest. I would love to purchase one and looked everywhere online but can't find it. Does anyone know who the manufacturer is or where to purchase one? I am almost kicking myself for not taking it and letting them charge me the $45. Here is a picture of them...

We returned from Disney and had to buy the same one, too, LOL. It's the perfect life jacket. If you search for "super soft life jacket", you'll find them.

Hi; sorry to hijaak the thread, but we haven't had a chance to swim w/ our dd since she was dx'd w/ epilepsy last year. Now she has to wear a life vest. Some life vests actually seem to push her head down, how's this one? I only ask b/c ya'll said you liked it.
Thanks

I actually found this vest to be quite good. My ds had some motor delays and is only just now learning to swim (after many sessions of swim classes and even private lessons) but on past trips, when he wore this type of vest, he was able to paddle quite independently around the swimming pool totally unaided. With other "swim aids" he always needed hands on assistance. On our last couple of trips, he was even able to go down the big pool slide at the Boardwalk wearing this vest and always came bobbing up at the bottom of the slide, no problem. To be clear, even though we found the vest to perform very well, we would never leave ds unattended. It was just nice to not have to be hands on with him every moment he was in the water.

Thanks; DD has multiple disabilities, as does DS, so we would never, ever leave them unattended; but it would do wonders for her confidence if she could be a little more "independent" kwim? Sounds like this vest is definitely worth us ordering and trying out.
Thanks again!

Oh, I hope you didn't think I was insinuating that I thought you would leave your kids alone in the pool. I was just making it clear that I wouldn't do that. Believe it or not, I've seen the whole swim vest thread become a heated topic on this board so I was just clarifying that I wasn't using it as some kind of babysitter in the pool (I never do understand when I see young kids playing in the pool - with or w/out swim aids - and there doesn't seem to be a parent in sight). I just wanted to clarify that I never meant to give that impression. :goodvibes

I think the vest would give them more independence in the pool and it would also give you some some peace of mind that you don't have to be literally inches away from them every second they are in the water. I'm sure the epilepsy dx is stressful enough.

They are Coast Guard approved, and so much more comfy for my dd than a regular life vest. It is kind of like water wings with a belt that goes around their middle. She had mobility of her arms and it was just not so bulky. Really easy to get off and on since it just buckles in the back. People always ask us about it when she wears it. She has the orange one and calls it her Nemo life vest.

I wasn't offended at all, just not sure; I haven't seen the other threads so I didn't know. To be honest, I'm never more than a couple of steps away from them any time day or night, so it wouldn't even occur to me to leav them alone in the pool (um, do people actually do that?) Anyway, thanks very much for the info, I appreciate it!

Thanks! I'll check that out too- it's great to know there are other options out there than what I'm using now.

They are amazing. She's a very small 2 and did amazingly well in this. We tried a different jacket at Saratoga and switched back to this because of how well it worked. I think you'll love it! We were of course right next to her but she was able to paddle aroUnd the pool and go down the baby slides all by herself.

Thank you so much! Love all the color choices.
