Anyone know if I can get this a bit cheaper than the 350.00. I would like to get this for my daughter but would like to keep it around 300.00. I just bough her Hogwarts castle. She just got bb-8 from my brother last week in Disney and she put that together in two days with going to school. I do have a Disney credit card but don't think the 10 percent would come off lego.

I bought it two years ago and got the 10% off (and maybe some back from Ebates) using my Disney visa. It’s super cool but I couldn’t believe it cost that much.

I did the disney visa 10% plus used my rewards dollars... got it for 27$ after using the rewards! I keep it in my living room and won't let my kids play with it.... it kills them lol.

The Lego store at Disney or any for that fact does not give you a discount on with the Disney Visa. However if a Disney owns store has it you will get the discount. I however have found that when I have seen Disney owned stores with Lego they were higher than the retail price that Lego charges. We own DVC and get 20% off... last year when I found Lego sets I still found the price to be higher than the Lego store in most cases with the disocunt. I did not see any Lego in any Disney owned stores a few weeks ago when we were there. It is possible there is a Disney owned store that has it??? but make sure the price is 350.00. Your best chance of getting a discount is to watch Target if they carry it but it is rare to get a discount on the upper end sets unless you by chance find it when it is discontinued. There are other options... however they are fake and worthless if you sell them also a violation of Lego copyrights but on the same hand a way for some people to get Lego sets they are unwilling or unable to pay the prices Lego asks.

This is not sold at Target. Disneystore.com sells it and that's how you can get the 10% discount. This is not a set that is available from many retailers and $350 is basically the best price.

My daughter is also very much into Legos. She’s very good at it & has done some amazing ones, like Ninjago City. My suggestion would be to sign up for their VIP rewards program. You get points which equals into money that you can use in the future. The most I had accumulated was almost $150. The key is to not use them until you make a big purchase. Right now I have $55 & saving towards either the castle or the big roller coaster for Christmas. VIP ‘s also get double points sometimes. It adds up.

I would sign up for the VIP rewards program, wait for a double points weekend, buy the Harry Potter Castle again (assuming you can find it) then use hopefully $30 or so you'll get on that towards the Disney castle and then return the one you have now. That's probably the biggest discount you're going to find on Lego anything.

I'll echo the comments to sign up for the VIP program, and shop when Lego is offering double points. Also, shop through a cash back portal for a little extra back. I usually go with 5% back on UPromise. You can request a check from Upromise when your earnings exceed $10.

I see target.com does not carry it but they do add things from time to time... Being you can only use one code at Disney.com and shipping is over 40.00 for this the 10% code would end up costing you more than using a free shipping code unless they have sale where shipping is just free which does or did happen on occasion. If the other person can find it at Disney and it is 349 they will however honor the discount... Other retailer will carry it and they will discount over time as was and now is the case with the Ghost Busters fire house which Amazon now carries and discounts.... But for the first few years they did not even carry it.
My vote will to be buy direct from Lego after joining the VIP club as they give you 5.00 for every 100.00 you spend and free shipping plus and most times of the year a free mini figure or build. However if you go to the local Lego stores my experience has always been them giving me multiple free mini builds/figures they have when buying the higher end Lego's... At the DS Lego store you will only get the one thing they offer period.

Well since someone resurrected this thread, I'll just point out that the castle is on the retirement list now. Due to go by the end of the year, so if you want it, better get it.

Bought my castle today using Disney GCs from Sam’s Club. Probably a better way to do it, but thought this wasn’t a terrible way to go. Wanted to pick it up before it is completely retired and impossible to get.

I am certain it will be a special collectors piece years from now. Am considering even picking up one more that will stay in the box.

I have to say when I built my castle I was geeking out the entire time! It has so many hidden secrets and I loved every second. That being said it’s 2 stories and the top 1/2 doesn’t connect super well to the bottom so whenever we moved it the top would fall off. It now stays in one spot.

Don't do it. It's expensive and bulky to store. I bought an extra and ended up returning it.

Even if they 'discontinue' it in the near future, it's bound to be made again. I have the Taj Mahal and for awhile it was super collectible since it was discontinued. Then they started making it again :headache:

I knew that there was. Disney vault, but I did not realize there was also a LEGO vault too! I will probably just stick to one set now.

We are enjoying building the Lego castle. Lots of fun. I recommend the set to all, young and old.
