I decided not to use any medication for menopause. I find both caffeine and alcohol trigger hot flashes. The best thing I have done is cut both my caffeine and liquor consumption. Also, I highly recommend that you install a ceiling fan in your bedroom if you don't already have one. We have a remote-controlled fan over our bed, and it has helped enormously with hot flashes at night. I don't have to get out of bed to turn it on!
