That's correct. There are new parental controls too and they will come up immediately so you can control all profiles. I figured the Defenders Saga would go to Hulu, but it seems not. I am not sure how I feel about that really.

Well, obviously, it's because it's "what our subscribers wanted, so we are simply meeting their needs." 🙄

I mena, those wer epopular shows and I'm sure subscribers don't mind more content. I would have preferred though at least for that kind of stuff to have it's own section with seperate branding, like STAR in the overseas markets, rather than relying on parental controls.

Wouldn’t it have made more sense to offer it on Hulu? I thought that was the original plan…

Wonder if they are just trying to keep all of their Marvel properties in one place? If they created a MA rated Star Wars property, would they place it on Hulu? Then again, the upside to this would be to create more subscribers to Hulu along with Disney+. Because I, for one, am sure as hell not buying the additional Hulu bundle. I'm barely watching Disney+ at this point.

I really hope they don't ever do an MA rated Star Wars project - it doesn't suit the franchise at all. Honestly, while Marvel is somewhat more malleable, some of it gets too dark too. I'm not sure I really love that kind of content being on D+ at all.

No, I wouldn't be a fan of that, either. I was just using it as an example. Besides, if they did it'd just be another stormtrooper project. And it's not like the Clone Wars is really any different from that awful Bad Batch show. Just more of the same.

Well, I can't agree with your on Clone Wars/Bad Batch - I think they're great! In animated form of course they can explore the horrors of war without the actual horrors, you know? There is a group of fans that would want to see it too. Some people thought Mandalorian was goign to be "really hardcore" - like dark and violent. It's really not though, which I was pretty releived about.

Yea I think they could easily make an MA rated Star Wars show since it has major war battles, gangsters, Sith, etc. it would be easy to do a gritty crime story or realistic war time battlefield story. However, I think they've shown through stuff like Rogue One, Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, clone Wars, etc. that they can do all of that without needing to push it into mature territory.
I feel Marvel is kind of the same way. They could easily make grittier and more mature stories but it's not really needed. They are able to push stuff pretty far and show what they want so far in PG-13 just fine. It kind of straddles the line but even the new Batman movie has a very mature feel but they made it all work in a PG-13 setting.
