Disney Jewlery Thread - Chamilia and any others!

Oh heck! I knew I shouldn't have started reading this thread ... I can feel a new obsession coming on!!

I've just had a look on the internet and seen that you can buy the bracelets and beads in a lot of shops etc... but can you also buy them in the parks or at DTD? I'm just wondering because this would make the purchase even more special and a memory of the trip etc..

I did pick a pearl last time and still wear the necklace almost everyday and it always reminds me of the trip

Now I need to go back to the start of the thread and read all the pages and drool over all the pretty pictures

I've bought Chamilia charms at the big Disney store in DtD, at the jewelry store in the MK, and at the POR resort gift shop. I'm guessing other resort gifts shops might have them also - and seems like there is a jewelry store in DHS (?) that might sell them.

You'd think the big store in DtD would have the most selection but I found more choices at the POR gift shop - so it doesn't hurt to shop around. The stores at Disney do have a few of the Disney beads you see online but honestly it seems like you see maybe 1/3 of the selection you see online of Disney specific beads. In case you have your heart set on a particular bead - you might end up waiting to get it when you get home.

Ok...so I now have a chamilia bracelet and have it half full already. I noticed that the bracelets come in sizes up to 9.5 inches. Has anybody ever bought the 9.5 inch bracelet and used it as an ankle bracelet?

That's a cool idea, I like that! I don't know why you couldn't, now I'm going to have to go measure my ankles!

Oh, also regarding who sells the beads at WDW, DH bought me the Mickey/Minnie w/heart bead at the Contemporary gift shop on our last trip.

See, I was thinking the opposite, because I hit and use my hands so much. I have to take my braclet off when I'm on my laptop, because it bangs on the keyboard so much. I think the clasps are pretty good. I guess maybe depend on your activities.

Yeah, that's true. I've broken multiple anklets, but not yet a bracelet.

If anyone is interested I just found a Chamilia Sebastian the Crab bead on a website for $38! I was thrilled because I've wanted to get one and knew they were retired and hard to find, but I didn't want to pay $100 or more like I've seen them selling for on ebay now. (I noticed one on ebay recently that was selling for $194!) The shipping cost is $14.95, which some people may feel is a bit high, but the bead comes with delivery confirmation and signature confirmation. I liked that because then I knew it would arrive safely and wouldn't be delivered if I wasn't home to sign for it. I'm not sure how many more Sebastian beads she has in stock, but I will be happy to share the website.

So glad I was able to help and glad she still had some Sebastian the Crab beads available! I'll keep my eyes open, and if I find a Dopey bead for sale I'll let you know.

Thanks so much for posting this! I went to their website this morning and found that they have Pooh's Honeypot that my DH has been looking for, for me.
