If you order through Amazon.com, try this:

Amazon gives all customers who use their new Search Engine, A9, an automatic discount on every price. It's not that much, but it is deducted from your final price and that helps.

To get the instant discount, first go to:

www.A9.com

1) Sign in with your Amazon password & email.

2) Next, do 3 or 4 searches for anything.

3) THEN, go to Amazon and start shopping.

You'll notice the mathmatical symbol for 'Pi' at the top. That means you're now getting the extra discount.

This really comes in handy right now with ToysRUs ~ because you get free shipping for $25 worth of on-sale toys for Christmas. It becomes cheaper to shop online than to go to the store!!

Oh, here's the explanation I copied off the website:
--------------------------------------------
"......since you've been using A9.com recently, virtually everything at Amazon.com is automatically an additional 1.57% off for you. Collecting this discount is zero effort on your part. It will be applied automatically at checkout (it will happen whether you use the shopping cart or our 1-Click Shopping®). You don't need to do anything to get this discount except keep using A9.com as your regular search engine."

"We don't advertise this additional discount that we give in exchange for using A9.com, so if you want your friends to know about it, please tell them. It is probably the only way they'll find out. All they have to do is use A9.com as their regular search engine. They should make sure they are signed in to A9.com (it should be recognizing them by name) so that we can be certain they get credit for their visit....."

I'm with Gillian...
What's the catch? We're typing in user ID AND a Password into a
"virtually unknown" website?

I'll wait for others to post of their experiences...
It sounds cool but I'd proceed with caution. (No offense, That's the banker in me talking)

I went to amazon.com first and logged in there and then went (by typing in url) to a9.com -- it kept me logged in and I did not have to enter my info at the a9 site. I did 3 searches and then went back to amazon.com and the discount pi symbol (a9 instant reward) is up top like the op mentioned and the discount is reflected at c/o.

Thanks...I just went to A9.com and it already had me signed in with my Amazon ID. I did just save an additional $1.50 -- and a total savings of $17 and change with the free shipping, super saver shipping, buy 2/get 1 free, etc.

I knew I remembered something about an Amazon discount, so I did a search and found this thread. It would appear that this discount is still available, because I did as the previous posters suggested and got that little symbol at the top. Should I assume that the discount doesn't show up until after I put in my CC information? I've gotten that far, but I don't see any extra discount. ....................P

Once you sign in with your email & Amazon password, you know you're in line to get the discount by the little 'pi' sign at the top of the screen.

The acutal money that's going to be deducted doesn't show up until the final screen where you're asked to 'submit order' I believe.
