Disney + Isreal = Die Palenstine???

Okay...so today I heard something I've NEVER heard before.
And of all my days on the DIs I think I would've heard SOMETHING about this.

ANyways, so I was working Guest Services today at the movie theatre, and this lady comes up and says she wants to see Prince Caspian.
SO I go...okay that'll be 12.50 (or whatever the price was...i forget how many ticks she was buying. ANYWAYS)
she goes "But can you sell me a ticket to a different movie...because I refuse to support Disney because they supply Isreal with movie to buy arms to use against Palestine"
I, being an excellent customer service rep obliged her (even though inside i was SCREEEAMING)

soooo umm...anyone care to enlighten me....is there ANY truth in this statement, or has this woman just heard some ridiculous propaganda somewhere (i'm really hoping it's the latter here)


And being all complete Disney nuts here...what would you do in my situation...would you have obliged her, or questioned her, or what?

its odd, but not totally unlikely. a multi trillion dollar corporation is bound to have its fingers dipped in a lot of places. but were this true, i think if she knows about it, everyone else would too.

i dunno. i think its wrong to let her see the movie but her money goes to another company. its like stealing, i guess? i dunno. i would've said, "i'm sorry ma'am, i can't do that." and made her pay for the caspian tickets or go see another movie.

I'm not sure what I would have done in your situation, though. I mean, like Shelby said, it IS stealing from the Disney company. But, the customer's always right... I dunno. Tough situation.

I wouldn't have commented, one way or the other, on this. I agree with how you handled the situation. You are at work and whatever, you personal opinion may have been, has nothing to do with your job.

I totally wanted to...but my manager was within earshot and he would've immediatley ran over and told her it was fine and we'd sell her a ticket for another movie.

I really wanted to not let her do that...I sold her a ticket for Speed Racer though, because they could really use the help in box office numbers

But seriously...i really had for force myself to do it.
Inside I was enraged.

the customer is rarely right. in fact, the customer is usually incredibly wrong. but we want to get paid, so we say otherwise.

That's what I meant, like, she might get in trouble for telling the lady she's wrong.
You must have a lot more patience than me, I know I wouldn't be able to put up with pushy customers!

I could just see this lady walking up to WDW and going could i please I have 2WDW tickets and the person saying when they ask for her money could I buy 2 tickets to Universal instead and use those because I refuse to buy tickets from disney
