ARRGGGHHHHHHH....

Disney did it again. Can barely handle the stress. HELP!

My story...
Last October, I planned a trip for 09/17 - 09/26. Made my ADRs in March. Good to go.

April came around and Disney announced free dining. The dates I already booked were not available for FD at the resort I wanted. I would save $1700 by changing dates. Kind of no brainer, but my ADRs would be lost and it was about 6 weeks after the 180 for the new dates.

Hubby convinced me to change dates. We are now booked 09/11 - 09/20. I lost my BOG ressie making the change. I chose all new restaurants, some that I wanted I didnt get. Some I got, but times arent perfect. I was a tiny bit dissapointed, but I know we'll be fine.

I chose Kona for breakfast 09/19, and a month or two later, Disney opened up BOG breakfast for my dates. I cancelled Kona and added BOG breakfast at 8am.

A few weeks after that, it was time to book our FPs. I booked Seven Dwarfs MT for 9am - 10am on the 19th, after our BOG breakfast.

So now......Disney opens up BOG dinner on MNSSHP nights. I was able to get a dinner at 7:05. I really wanted dinner to begin with, as the breakfast menu did not look great to me. It will be our first time ever going to BOG. The dinner is the 15th. I originally had Grand Floridian Cafe at 6, thinking we would just go over to the party after dinner.

I was about to cancel the breakfast at BOG, then remembered my FP. I tried to change the time and/or date for the fast pass, but nothing else was available any other day we are free, or close to the MK. So now I dont know what to do.

I can:
1) Have breakfast at Konas and still go over to MK for the FP
2) Have breakfast at GFC and still go over to MK for the FP
3) Keep the BOG because its pre park opening and great for photo ops.
4) Skip the FP, wait in regular line another time we are at MK and have breakfast wherever our hearts desire (Im kind of would like Captains Grill)

Little more info...It will be our 9th day at WDW, we dont have any other firm plans that day other than dinner at CRT and meet and greet with A and E after dinner. I was leaning towards going to one of the water parks, if the weather was nice. Also, we are staying at the Poly so we're pretty close and convenient to MK to just run over for the FP.

Thoughts would be appreciated!

Option 1 or 2. I think the food will be better at Kona or GFC, and you still have your FP+ for 7DMT. :earsboy:

Just to clarify- you are doing the party on the night you have your BOG dinner? Because if you aren't, they won't let you into the restaurant that night Personally, I wouldn't waste that much party time inside a restaurant. If you do have tickets to the party, I agree with going with Options 1 or 2.

I do have tickets to the party. Weve done LTT before during party night. It was nice. We dont intend on doing every single thing at the party. A few hours is good and we like to watch the parade. We usually go in October and I can only imagine September will be much hotter. Not sure we could handle 5 hours of walking around after a long day doing something else. I really want to go to BOG dinner. My daughter will be thrilled to see the "castle". It was the only dinner ressie I could get (they just opened ressies today for party nights. They had never done this in the past)

I would go with option 1 or 2, keep the FP and plan a couple others back to back. We always like to end our trip with a few more rides at the MK. If you time it right, you can spend less than two hours and ride your favorites.

3) Keep the BOG because its pre park opening and great for photo ops.

Well, lest you have another "they did it again" moment, they could open the park earlier than your BOG reservation and then you're sitting in a restaurant while the park fills up.

Of course, if it's your 9th day in, that might not be so bad.

But nothing on the breakfast menu interests me there, so I personally would cancel that one.

Am I the only one who just had a mini meltdown at the thought of a 7:05 meal during a party?

I understand what you are saying, but it is the only BOG dinner ressie we could get. Also, it will be our 4th time at the party. Last time, we left around 10:30. My daughter does a little trick or treating and we watch the parade w/ headless horseman. If the dance venues are not too crowded, we'll stop in there too for a little bit. We have no desire to go on rides, as we'll be at WDW for 10 days and by that time, we'll probably have had our fill. The week we are going will be very low crowds, so I dont see a problem going on a lot during our MK days, and even at night during wishes/parade, we can hop on the monorail and squeeze a few things in quickly.

3) Keep the BOG because its pre park opening and great for photo ops.

I like both Kona Cafe and Grand Floridian Cafe, but I would do option 3. With BOG for breakfast, you could ride 7DMT twice: once standby at rope drop then again with FP. You could even get in a couple of other rides before heading to water park. If they change park hours to open at 8am, then you can ditch the BOG breakfast. But if you've been there 10 days and already done anything, might not matter.

I also don't mind the BOG dinner during the MNSSHP. You can do some rides before 7pm, possibly with FP. You're going to need to eat dinner sometime, why not at 7pm before the parade and when the lines are longest during the party? Although it would be cutting it close to make it out of dinner in time for the parade.

We just had breakfast at BOG 2 weeks ago. It was very good, I was very pleased with how good it was. Even if you think something may not interest you, I'd still recommend it. Everything was delicious!

You want to do the BOG 7 pm during the party that you'd already planned on doing, so that's perfect.

On the other day, If you can do Kona and be at the SDMT by 10am, then that's great too. I can understand not wanting to do BOG twice in one trip. I wouldn't cancel the SDMT just cuz you have a breakfast reservation you don't really even want. You only got it cuz you couldn't get a dinner right? So I'd go w the dinner which was your original goal and ditch the breakfast. If you can get an early Kona do that, otherwise do QS. Or the BOG even. But BOG twice in one trip would seem repetitive to us.

You are right :) Ill book Kona and go over to 7DMT after breakfast. Weve done pre park opening in the past. How many pictures of the castle do we need? !!

If you dont mind me asking...what did you order?

I got the open-face egg sandwich, and my sister got the croque madame... which I actually liked more than my own. You get a bowl of fruit with your entree and a plate of pastries to share. We were so stuffed, we barely touched the pastries but I still had to try most of them!
