Disney is just not the same anymore!!!

Nothing complicated about using the kiosk at all. Just activate with your MB. Select the ride you don't want to ride at a time you don't want to ride it for the number of people NOT in your party. Then change the experience to the ride you DO want to ride, but still at the time you DON'T want to ride it and copy overlapping times for the various members of your party. Finally change to the time you DO want to ride. Now go back to step one for the next attractions and repeat. :rotfl2:

It's a piece of cake! ;) :lmao:

So easy a caveman can do it (no offense, laketravis)! :rotfl2:

I think this experience is anecdotal, and therefore I will dismiss it since it doesn't support my argument.

So where is it you got confused on that?:) But I was actually just talking about getting additional fp's at the kiosk so some of those steps can and should be eliminated. Of course for those of you who can't find any rides available for additional fp+'s, it makes the process really easy. ;)

Then he's obviously not the one to send to the kiosk.

Well, there are only 2 of us and I'm in a wheelchair. While the kiosks are accessible, they are not particularly easy for someone whose eye level is below the tilted screen. So DH either will take a long time to use the kiosk, or will rely on a CM to assist him. That is, if we manage to be at a kiosk that is still manned by CMs who can assist those guests who arent as able as yourself.

That is hard to deal with I imagine- I'm surprised they don't have it more handicap accessible that that.

Perfect example of " one size/one solution" does not fit all. Hope you have continued healing Minnie mum.

Yup! Easy peasey! I think Disney's next test should be reducing by half the CM IT support on the phones and the CM support at park kiosks. The Disney suits assert that guests will "catch on" to FP+, maybe reducing the support provided will speed up the process.:rotfl2:

Bob hilariously demonstrates what I feel is the biggest problem with FP+ the initial booking of it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. If they can design the app/website to make it like it is at the kiosks, I think it would be a much better experience. My Mom was able to use a kiosk without any hand holding her first time, and she is NOT a tech person. However if I had asked her to book at 60 days we somehow would have ended up on Stitch at RD everyday.

And while we're on the subject of kiosks (and I don't think its off topic, since we're debating loss of guest satisfaction and guest services), will someone explain to me why there are no kiosks anywhere in the vicinity of the MK entrance? Is that really too much to ask for those guests who enter the park with no prebooked fps?

Isn't there one at City Hall?

There is supposedly one at City Hall (I've used it in the past but not sure its current status), but even CMs in the area aren't aware of its existence.

I don't know if its there or not either. I keep seeing posts on various sites and threads of guests being sent to Tomorrowland. I do know that Josh doesn't show one on his MK map.

Me too. I think it's still there, and I have this crazy idea that more than a couple of geeks on the Internet should know about it. ;)

You got me there. I think this is more from me seeing the unused space and lack of attractions and saying to myself "They have to have something planned, right?" I can't see how they plan to add so many new hotel rooms and not do a major expansion of Epcot. I'm totally guilty of blind faith here.

There has been unused space at Epcot for years and nothing has replaced what's been removed. Yes, some things have traded out, but some things have also been left empty. I remember The Odyssey restaurant when it was open and was very sad to see the Wonders of Life pavilion completely shut down.

My favorite all time show at WDW was The Hunchback show that used to be in DHS. I was sad when it left BUT at least they replaced it with something that even if not for me, might interest someone.

None taken!

This thread reminds me - I need to get familiar with the kiosk locations in each park for our visit next month; sounds like they aren't very well communicated.

And they seem to change all the time. Very frustrating.

Well, if they keep moving them around, it's more fair. That way the geeks on the internet don't get an unfair advantage.

I found out today it doesn't really matter if you know where they are b/c all that was left at 2pm (MK is recommended today b/c MNSSHH tonight) was barnstormer, little mermaid, speedway and dumbo. Was quite disappointed I couldn't snag PotC or Buzz.
