Hello.....We are in the planning stages of a Summer 2017 cruise on the Western Caribbean. I am fairly certain we are going to purchase insurance but I am not sure who to use. From what I have read some people feel the DCL insurance is expensive. What do you have to compare it with? I read that its 8% f each persons cruise fare with the maximum being $399. If we did the math correct it would be about $200ish a person. We have researched a few companies but they dont seem to have the same lost value if something should go wrong and some seem more then Disney.

Any suggestions?

Typically, it's better to look to 3rd party companies for insurance. You'll get better coverage for a lesser cost. This is true for most major cruise line policies.

There are several travel insurance comparison sites (google that). On those sites, you can put in the parameters of what you want covered and they will show you a variety of policies from different companies that you can compare side by side.
