Dumb question, but is this going to be a recording of what you all went to on the cruise?

Not a dumb question at all, no this is a live presentation by Mark the Disney historian. You can even ask questions too. He was great, and I'm planning on signing up to hear him again because he was so good. His depth of knowledge is incredible.

:thumbsup2 thanks!

In speaking with Mark I received a little more insight into how this will work. It isn't just a straight 'seminar'. Parts will be interactive (like when he questions the audience about certain memories about Disney).

If you plan on participating please make sure you are aware that the audio portion will be presented over the phone. It is not streaming from your PC. You will need to have phone line and call in to hear him. It is a toll free number.

Do you know how this will work for international :)

Reid, here is what I found out so far. The toll free number is only for US calls. They do have a number for international calls that is not toll free - it would cost you to call in.

Now, if you tell me for sure you want to attend the webinar they may be able to arrange for a toll free number. I just need to know where you are calling from.

The same goes for any international listener who wants to call - if you tell me you definately want to attend the webinar and where you will be calling from I will see what I can do to make it a toll free call.

That was quick John. Appreciate the answer :) I'm still not sure, given the time difference for the UK (it will be on till 1.30am) so would not want to put anyone to additional effort since I have an early start on Tuesday.

If necessary there are cheap phone lines to call the USA so the hour long call is not a great deal.

I have a committee meeting at 6 and won't be home on time. Foiled again. -sigh-

Actually, a lot of times so-called "US" toll free lines also work in Canada. I tested the Disney number earlier this week and got through fine.

Hopefully it will work on Monday nite!;)

I was going to try and hook this up to my TV... I think someone on the board mentioned that too, I forget who though. I was going to ask who know how that is done? What I would need, or can someone point me to a know how. I have speaker phone, so I think we could hear it OK that way.

John, to call in to hear, would we all be muting the call or ???

Thanks!

I have never done a Disney Institute conference call, but in many business seminar conference calls I have participated in all non-essential (i.e. non speaking lines) will automatically be muted.

When opportunity presents for questions, you would key in a number (details provided by operator at commencement of call) to alert operator that you wish to ask a question. They go to a que and when your number comes up your line would be activated.

I assume something like this will be in place for the call. They will likely explain all details at the start of the call.

DI will automatically mute everyone who calls in - no one will be able to hear you - just the presenter.

cdotla has the rest exactly right.

Is there a cutoff time for sign ups?? I'm trying to get a speakphone without having to purchase one. I'll know better tomorrow.

When I attended the Disneyana Convention back in 1998, I participated in a program called "Principles The Mouse" it was part of the "Full Mouse Core Course." Mark was the presenter (host/guide) and took us through the Magic Kingdom explaining the "language of vision" before the park opened. He was awesome.

At noon eastern time tomorrow (Monday 5/18) they are going to turn off the auto-registration process. This means you would have to follow the 'email registration' link inorder to register.

This will give them the flexibility to stop accepting registrations when they need to.

I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you. My suggestion is to try to make a decision about whether or not you can/want to attend before noon on Monday to ensure you have a spot in the webinar.

I also searched and found who talked about the TV hookup. :) :)
