I don't mean to fool you into thinking I actually have insider information. I'm planning a trip for December 2014. We will be surprising the kids with this Christmas time trip and will be staying through Christmas day. I realize this Fastpass+ and Magic Band thing is fluid in nature, but I wanted to know if there is anyone who frequents this board that might have some inside information on what changes can be expected in the future, and do you anticipate free dining being offered in December again?

I obviously see all the negative post on the board, but I honestly get excited when planning a Disney vacation regardless of what fastpass system is being used. If you plan accordingly, arrive early and are systematic in what you do everything will work out fine. Yes, I have been during the Christmas season and it worked out great. Just step away from the computer and realize how fortunate you are to even be able to plan and take your family on a magical vacation! Optimism, pass it on....

Insiders generally can't post any useful information, so all we can do as outsiders is guess. Lots of guesses as to what further FP changes may or may not be coming and the next likely periods for FD.

Even most CMs couldn't help. My niece works at AK in attractions and i may have known about FP- leaving before her.

Rarely will 'inside' information be posted here. Periodically, a CM might post a heads up for something that is occurring within a day or so, and would be public knowledge within that day or so anyway.

There's an old (maybe?) adage that I heard when I started getting involved with the theme park industry in the early 90's. And it likely goes for most other industries that deal in "secretive" info. But I like it, and it fits here (still): "Those who know, don't talk. And those who talk, don't know."
