Disney in October

We are planning a trip in October this year. We have never been in October and I was wondering what the weather is like? the crowds? We have always gone in May, which we love, but this year it just did not work out that way. (thought I was losing my job, and got a call back at the last second!) We don't really want to go during the really hot, crowded, months so we thought maybe October.
Any help will be great!

October is a great time to go! We have been there 2 times in Oct. I think and we are going again from Oct. 29th to Nov. 3rd. The weather is beautiful-nice and warm for shorts and swimming during the day. It can get cool sometimes though, so bring jackets and a few pairs of pants for nighttime too. Crowds are not bad at all-lines are usually pretty short as long as you stay away from going around Columbus Day. The trips we have taken in Oct. have been our best especially it not being so crowded. Have a great trip!

We always shoot for October because the crowds are extremely manageable during that month.

As for the weather, we've experienced days where it's around 95 degrees, then days where it's in the 70's. However, I'd bet on days being in the mid to upper 80's in early October, then dropping to high 70's to low 80's as you get closer to the end of the month.

I second what the others have said. It's our favorite time to go, try to take in the Halloween Party--it's a blast.

I often wonder while I wait in line at BTMR for 5-15 minutes (0 minutes with FastPass) how people handle an hour or more wait for the same ride during Christmas and Spring.

I went this past Oct. LOVED it .......I am going again in Oct this year.
We swam and wore shorts . We also did the Haolloween party 2 times that week and it was a blast ...

We have been once in Oct. The crowds werent bad but this was right after 9/11 so probably not a fair way to judge crowds. The weather was comfortable. The only time it seemed really hot was waiting for a parade.

Oct is an awesome time to go. As you can see from my signature below, I am a little biased though! LOL!! The weather overall is beautiful and still warm enough to swim and wear shorts and tshirts. Crowds have been very manageable in the years we have gone. Hope you have a great time!
