SO my family will be traveling down to the area in March for a wedding and will be taking a day or two to be in the parks.I'm aware that this is peak spring break time and will more than likely be crowded. I am starting to try to get our plan together for our park days and was curious as to what to expect (besides higher crowds) during our stay.

We have been to disney in October (Around Columbus Day) and in May ( around Mother's Day)

1. How bad will the crowds be compared to when we've been before?
2. How's the humidity at that time of year?
3.I'm looking at EasyWDW's average wait times for high crowds to build my park itineraries. Should I use the Hot average or the Cold average wait time for splash mountain?
4. Do I need to plan for Hot weather or will layers still be required?
5. Is there anything else I need to be prepared for that will be different to the times we've been in the past?

You don't say when in March you are going, since Easter is near the end of the month those last two weeks of March will be much busier than the other times you mentioned. If you go one of the 1st weeks it won't be quite as crowded. Also, be prepared for high school students on their school trip that time of year. Humidity shouldn't be too bad but temperatures can swing wildly. I'd check the weather a few days before you leave and pack accordingly, we're from NJ so no matter what, it's warmer there then what we leave in NJ. I doubt it will be "hot", could reach the 80's but not hot.

Easter is March 27 so anytime in the last two weeks of March it will probably be considered peak.

Unfortunately the wedding is March 19th we are going down a few days early and hitting up the park before Easter Week hits. I'm making plans assuming extreme crowds. Its the weather that's throwing me off. I get the feeling it won't be swimming weather or weather we would want to bother with Splash Mountain.

Before the 19th will definitely be much better than after the 19th. I would think from the 19th thru April 3rd will be extreme crowds. Last time we were there for 6 days in March, we had 2 days @ 80 and 2 days @ 65 with a mix in between, its just the luck of the draw.

Josh at EasyWDW gives a day-by-day description of what to expect at the parks. I'd check out his March calendar for sure, since you it will give you a pretty good idea on what to expect.

As for weather, if no cold fronts are coming through, you should get dry and warm (low 80's). Warm enough for water rides and shorts mid-day and some swimming. Morning and evenings will be "crisp" but not so cool you can't suck it up in shorts in the morning, though you may want jeans and possibly a jacket in the evening.

If a cold front comes through, that will likely mean some rain and temperatures ranging from 50's to 70's.
