Hi, has anybody been to Disney in March ? What are the queues like ? I have found some good flights prices and thinking about booking.

Thanks Sharon

We were there year during the first week of March. The crowds were larger than I thought they would be, but our week included Mardi Gras. The weather was wonderful! The crowds were not that bad, but larger because of Spring Breaks, and the Flower and Garden.

I went early April last year, it was busy but not anything I'd consider extreme, but definitely busier than my preferred time of year for visiting which is late August/early September. I think next year with Easter being quite early the very end of March could be a little busier. You've also got Spring Break to contend with, but again it seems better to go early March as less schools tend to have their breaks the first week in March from what I recall.

We are choosing to go late April in 2015 as most schools here have started back before we fly out! Or at least that's what my research is telling me!

We were there the last two weeks of March and first week of April this year. We were overwhelmed by how busy it was. The last two weeks of March are spring break for Americans coinciding with Flower and Garden/Mardi Gra. It them seemed the Americans went home and the Brits arrived. One day MK car park was full by around midday, which was in fact the coldest day and night I've ever spent in Orlando (people in the parks come night fall wrapped themselves in duvets :))
Personally we wouldn't return over those weeks again. For me November was a much nicer/quieter out of season time to visit. Although from reading trip reports I don't think there are 'quiet' times at all any more.
However If you do choose to go with those flights, have a great time!

March is very much spring break season for US schools so it will be busy.

Thanks for the information. I would return weekend before Easter but it could be busy with people who want be there for the Easter holidays. The best time I have been is early sept and I was hoping it would be about the same. The worst time I have been is June and August for the queues .

Thanks xx

As I said the US schools have spring break (which isn't like here it doesn't usually fall over Easter) meaning March is a busy month has a lot from the northern states like to head to Florida for some heat and sun!

It will be similar to June crowds and nothing like early September. You only get early September crowds type crowds late January, early February and early December.

Spring break will be very busy, we noticed that it got busier from the 15th and really busy from the 22nd this year.

Just checked our photo's as we took one of the stand-by line at Soaring because it stated 240-minutes until the next departure, luckily we had a fast-pass and that was taken on Sunday 23rd March at 12.20.
