Disney in March

We are going to Disney the week of March 17 to 24 for DS's 4th Birthday. Has anyone been during this time of year? What is the weather and crowds like? Is this a spring break time? TIA!

Yes, this is spring break time. The crowds will be heavier. We went in March 2011. We normally visit WDW in October and November and we were surprised how much busier it was in March. The weather was absolutely perfect, however if we hadn't been to Disney many times before that March trip, we would have been very disappointed in how little we were able to accomplish.

My sister and I went for Spring Break in 2011 and we loved it. The weather was beautiful and there were crowds, but it wasn't nearly as crowded as the holidays (when we usually go).

I think the best thing to do is take advantage of earlier park openings and steer clear of EPCOT on St. Patrick's day because it is a mad house. If you want to go to EPCOT I would go the day after because it is less likely to be busy after a busy holiday like that. Also the Flower and Garden Festival is going on and the topiaries there are beautiful.
