Does anyone have any experience with Disney in March? Have you been able to go to the water parks?

I was wondering this myself. I am planning my first March trip for my college spring break I was wondering the weather and what the general crowds will be. The Unofficial Guide's attendance averages shows March as pretty low, but then the park hours are pretty late and their Best Days crowd calendar shows 7s/8s for the week I want to go (March 11-16), so that kind of confuses me.

So I'm looking for tips.:D

Darthmouse - We did Typhoon Lagoon during the second week of March 2005, and while it certainly wasn't very hot, we were fine - temperatures were in the low 70s the day we went. The other days that week it varied from low 70s to low 80s. I definitely think you could go, just watch the weather forecasts for the week you are there and pick the day that looks the most promising!

Fyi - this year Typhoon Lagoon is closed for the first part of March for refurbishment, and is reopening on March 18.

Feigned - WDW is fairly busy in March with many Canadians (like us:) who will be down for our children's break week from school. That could be what is contributing to the projected crowd levels in the 7/8 range. However, we have always found the crowds manageable if you get off to an early start and use Fastpasses.

Have a great time,

Most southern schools have their spring breaks in March, so it is BUSY. It is warm enough to swim though.

We'll be there March 25th through the 30th. MY DS spring break is the week of the 26th. Granted he's in pre-K, however we are working around the school schedule.

We've gone in March twice and we loved it. The weather was perfect....warm enough to swim, but not overly hot or humid. At the times we were there the crowds were quite manageable. Not light but not horrible either. The only thing is we were there quite a few years ago. I think the crowds have increased at all times of the year from the years we were there in March. Weather wise it is a great time if you decide to put up with the spring break type crowds.

My future hubby and I were down there for the College Program in 2005 from Jan-March and we went to the water parks in Feb. Although March is a much better time to go then Feb. It really is great weather and it wasn't that crowded. I saw times where is was packed and then the next day like no one. You should be fine on the water parks. :thumbsup2

We have been in March before and are going this March. The weather is wonderful then for touring. We did TL one day and it was a cloudy yucky kind of day and I was a little chilly. DS loved it and had no problem. Being from the South I am not used to swimming when it is cool. We will be doing BB this time but hopefully there will be a sunny day when we can go.

We have been the 1st week of March for the last three years and are planning a 4th trip this year. This year we hit both water parks. The weather was quite warm. Last year (I think it was), we didn't do much swimming because the weather was chillier. We did make it to BB one day thought that year. The other year, we did lots of swimming but didn't take time for the water parks. It would have been warm enough several of those days. We love this time of year at WDW. It isn't really that busy until the Friday at the end of the week. They start gearing up for that 2nd week-end in March when the crowds usually do arrive so things (like the Downtown Disney boat from POR) are running more regularly and are open later.
