looks like a good time to go as far as crowds go, but will the weather be good? Too hot? Hurricanes?

The weather in September will still be very hot yes - Hurricanes? always a risk I am afraid at this time of the year - though I wouldn't put off going because of it.

I enjoy late September. The crowds are lower and although it is still hot, it's no hotter than home on a summer day. There is always a chance of hurricanes. We were there last year when the hurricane hit in October - and we purposely bumped our dates up to avoid one of these storms. You just never know. We had a great time in spite of everything.

We went to Disney last Sept. 24 for a week. It was quite hot (although we have been in July as well and it wasn't nearly that hot!). We did have to take a break everyday because of the heat. But the crowds were very low. I vowed only to go during value season because we were able to walk onto almost everything!

It is hot but not as bad as July and August though. Hurricanes are always a possibility until mid-October and then the chances drop a little more. The low crowds make up for everythin though.

We were there the last week of September this past year. It was the lowest crowds we had ever seen. We were able to walk onto most every ride. Yes, it was hot, but not that much hotter than when we have been in October. Another plus, is MNSSHP started at the end of September last year.

We always go at at the end of Sept, & it is pretty hot. The crowd levels are just so low, that it is worth the heat. We have avoided a few hurricanes, but I am from Louisiana so we have them pretty often too.

We went last year the last week in September and have that same week planned this year. It was very hot, but not unbearable. As other said, always a risk of hurricanes or rain. It only rained 1 day for us, the whole week and that was of course the day we went to BB.

The low crowds make up for everything though. And I just seen they have a MNSSHP scheduled on Sept 29. WOO HOO!!!!

Do you think it will be too hot for a 5 month old??
It is pretty hot, but if you go out early in the day then take a break around 1. You could go back in the evening around 5, that would avoid the hottest part of the day.

I'll agree with most other folks, the crowds are low, the temps are nice to hot. Hurricanes? Went last year a week between the hurricanes and a few other times in September. You can't plan for them you can just reason with them (ala Jimmy Buffett). September is my favorite time, other than Christmas to go to the world. Worth the risk In my book!

We love traveling to WDW during September. It is hot enough to enjoy the pools and water based rides but not as overwhelming hot as July and August. The only downside is it is hurricane season so we just keep and eye on the Weather Channel and plan accordingly. We will be back in the "World" on Sept 23rd.
