I'm sorry that I can't help you, but have a wonderful time at Disney!
January is a fabulous time for WDW!!
Crowds are low, except for a few holiday weekends.
Just watch out for the weather! I went down last January, and it was the coldest temperatures in Florida's history. But in past years that we've been down in January, it's been very mild, like in the mid 70's.
I usually go in January & the crowds aren't too bad after New Years & the weather is iffy, one day it could be in the 70's & the nest it could be in the 50's. You always have to come prepared, Florida weather is crazy.
I went in January '09 for the weekend it was really nice. Cold at night, but perfect temperature during the day! The crowds aren't that bad either, and the Brazillian tour groups are at a minimum, but they're still around. January is a great time to go![]()
Well sadly I don't live in Ontario anymore, but I have been in January before. Have fun with your friend! You two will have a fabulous time!Hi there everyone!
I'm JoJo! My friend and I are going to wdw in January, Any Ontario goers out there been in january??
I want your thoughts on crowds, weather ( compared to ontario ) , and your stay!
Thanks!

Crowds are very low in January, it's a nice off season. Unfortunately this is when most rides get refurbished but for the most part it's an excellent time to go. While the weather is not the same as it is in Ontario in January, it is fairly cold but definitely check the weather before you go. It can either be warm or really cold (like it was this past year). The restaurants won't have the AC jacked up too much unless it's hot out. Mostly it's just a mild temperature indoors, they understand what the weather is outside.
Have an excellent trip!
Okay so I was at WDW at beginning of Jan this year but I'm from England so its not as cold as Canada here..
It was cold in Fl though by the time it got to New Year... New Year's Day I was wearing tshirt/hoodie/scarf and a thick winter coat because it was so cold at night...
When we were packing we didnt think it would be too cold, not just because its Florida but because being from the UK, the temperature is so much higher than here. At first it was mainly just locals and people from hotter climates who were wearing what I call winter clothes, because I was always just in shorts and tees but it got real cold by Jan. But the parks are quite empty which is a plus and if its real cold at night, no one goes in so watching the parades and shows are easy!!
Have fun!!![]()
January is GREAT crowds wise! The weather is pretty nice - I went in Feb. when it was chillier then normal (temps in the 50's) - and found a windbreaker-type coat was perfect in the Orlando sun!
Don't expect to be taking a dip in the pool - although it never hurts to bring swim wear!
I live in NS, but i have never been in January. though i was listening to a podcast the other day and they were saying that it's cool there compared to the normal weather. and if you are going like the first few days of January they were saying that the crowds are low and it's very cool to see all the decorations come down, from one day there's a big christmas Mickey and then the next day it's gone!
Hope this helps a little!
And have a good trip!
Yea, i'm not even sure if i'[m going to the water parks!im not sure what to exspect!
Helps a lot, thanks!
