We have reservations at VWL Feb 10-17. Mixed thoughts on the weather.
Any input? How should I pack? Is it too cold for the pools in the evening?(I know 1 of the water parks is open during the day). I have 2 sons (11 and 3) and want to make sure that I am packing the right things. Debating just packing their summer clothes right into a suitcase (it's getting cold here in Chicago) so it's one less thing for me to do in Feb.

Thanks for any tips!

We have never been there during that time of the year, but our UG shows that the Temps are as follows. Hope it helps? :thumbsup2
AVG. Daily Low 50 degrees
AVG. Daily High 73 degrees
AVG. Daily Temp. 62 degrees

We went at the end of February this year. The weather was beautiful. Shorts weather in the day. Nights were brisk but not cold. Have a great trip!

We're going to Disney in Feb. Our first WDW trip was in Jan and I made a big mistake. I over packed big time and basically took clothes for all 4 seasons. You don't need to do that. Dress in layers. Pack things that you can easily take off and put back on when it gets chilly. Wear short sleeves with a light jacket. By noon, you'll shed that jacket and you'll be comfortable. You'll find your self wearing that light jacket by early evening ,so make sure the jacket is not too heavy to either tie around your waist or roll up in your bag. Take lightweight mittens or gloves. Not the kind for snow weather but the light knit driving type gloves .Light gloves keeps your hands free and out of your pocket. You'll feel chilly in am, warm by noon ,chilly by dinner time and more chilly at sundown. Be comfortable and think light weight layers.

Went Feb 06 and going again Feb 07 love that time of year. This years weather was great (we are from WI, one min from IL) and it was 75 during the day and upper 50's at night. Yes swimming was fun but we never swam at night. Hope you have a great time! :thumbsup2

Thanks! Where are you in WI? I am in Lake Villa which is about 15 min from the WI border and work in Kenosha.

What are the crowds like in Feb? We usually go in July but it's just too hot! I am trying to find a new time of year to go.

We went in early March 1995 and weather was great, not too crowded.

We went last March for Spring Break and it was obviously crowded..don't really want to go back during SB again. Weather was awesome this trip.

We have been in Sept, but it was 3 days after 9/11 so the park was not crowded at all (still no flights). Weather was great that time, but sure that the park would have been more crowded if not for the horrible events.

Still trying to figure out the best time of the year to go without taking the kids out of school for more than a few days.

Thinking maybe next year will be Oct for the Halloween Party.

My dh and I go every year at the beginning of Feb. and we love the time. Yes, the weather is unpredictable but most of the time the weather is beautiful. Just layer the clothes. If you are staying on site you can always get back to the resort and drop off clothes or pick up a jacket. You can also rent a locker at the parks. Of all the times we have been in Feb. one time it got below 50 degrees (I know this because the boats won't run if it is under 50 degrees) and there was one other time it rained for two straight days (but all the cast members said that was unusual). The benefits of going then out weigh the weather. The longest time we had to wait in line was maybe 6 or 7 minutes if that long. YOu can get easier ADR's. Enjoy

Yes we are from Kenosha (Pleasant Priaire). We both work in IL. DH works at Service Express in Oak Brook. And I work in Waukegan at Abbott Labs.

You are going in Feb 07? You are going to love it! :cool1: Super great time of the year to go. Maybe we will see you there! :wave2:

We went the same week in February last year and upon arrival it was cold. One evening was in the low 30's....however, by the end of the week it was in the 70's. Unpredictable, but no different than where we live - the weather changes by the hour (sometimes minute)... Michigan!! Have a great time and just pack so you can layer! :sunny:

I've not been to WDW in Feb., but I've been to Speedweeks the last 10 years in Daytona during this time. I have froze to death and I have burned up. I would pack a little bit of everything.
