Has anyone been to Disneyworld in early December? I am going the first week in December and I wondering how the weather was.

We are going for our third December trip the second week of December and I can honestly tell you that the weather a very unpridictable. In 2000, we went during a cold snap and had overnight lows in the 40's but was dry all week. In 2002, the weather was in the 70's but rained a several days. My suggestion is look at the weather before you leave then plan on bringing at least a little bit of everything.

WE have usually had good luck the first week in Dec with weather in the high 70's or 80's and no rain. One year it rained alot but still jeans were warm enough. I think this kind of depends on where you live. When you come from 20 60 feels pretty warm.

Last 10 years first part of December from my experience bring clothes for cold, cool, mild, warm and hot. We've experienced all these on one trip.:earsgirl: :sunny: :earsboy:

I agree, the weather can be very "different" throughout any given day. We always brought jeans, sweatshirts, long sleeve t's as well as summer stuff (even a tank top or two, one year it was warm, the next I was shivering in shorts at the Rose and Crown after the Candlelight Processional). It is, imho, THE BEST TIME TO VISIT WALT DISNEY WORLD. We went last year for the actual Christmas week, and although we loved being there on Christmas, we loved the lack of crowds right after Thanksgiving. This year :( :( will be our first without a Yuletide visit:( :( . Oh well, DH and I did just come back from five nights alone there and DD and I are going 10/15 -10/19 for our second MNSSHP and to celebrate her 13 1/2 birthday with her friend and her friends mom whose 13th birthday is also being celebrated as well as her Mom's 54th at LTT on 10/16) But I digress, have a great time, bring stuff you can layer!

I agree about the weather. I've been three times and each time the weather was different. But coming from Nebraska I was just right. The mornings start off cool and by afternoon it's usually in the 70's - towards sunset it gets cool again. Try to dress in layers. On a normal day... morning = shorts, t-shirt and a jacket or sweatshirt. Afternoon = pack up the jacket/sweatshirt or just tie it around your waiste. Evening=usually made a trip back to the hotel to change into jeans.

First week in December is great! In 2002 we participated in the filming of the Christmas parade and saw Regis & Kelly.

No advice (this will be our first trip in December as well)... just wanted to say.....

WELCOME TO THE DIS!!!!
