Disney in December

I have decided to go to Disney in December... the 9-13 to be exact.. can't wait to see the decorations.. any advice on this time of year?

Don't go later in the month of Dec. because the crowds are REALLY large. I once went the weekend before Christmas and this is how I felt the whole time:

Wonderful time to visit WDW. We went the week after Thanksgiving(end of Nov./first of Dec.) in 2005. We didn't have waits for any rides. We loved the holiday Wishes, the special end to Illuminations and just the decorations in every park. Each park has a giant tree, a sort of signature tree. Be sure to have your pic. made in front of each one. We also liked MVMCP. We went on a Tues. night and didn't think it was crowded at all. We loved Osborn lights; get a cup of hot cocoa and walk down the street and take in all the lights. We had a wonderful trip.

Excuse my ignorance. I know most of the acronyms used on the boards, but what is MVMCP?

Do you know anything about what goes on at the resorts and in Downtown?

MVMCP--Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

We are going 12/7 to 12/11. I am already counting days; 321 days, 17 hours, 24 minutes and 16 seconds

We went Dec 9-14 in 2005 and it was fabulous! The crowds were very low, the weather was good (low 60's-70's) and the decorations just capped it all off.

Hey all of you going during December of 2007:
