Disney in December

We will be going next year in December. Myself, my folks and my 3 kids ages 12, 10, and 5. We want to see all the holiday stuff Disney has to offer when would be the right time to go? Any ideas?

to avoid crowds go the first two weeks in dec. though this year the first week was more crowded then usual the parks were still manageable and the lines were not bad though a little longer than expected. also if you are staying at a value or moderate resort stay clear of pop warner week which is usually first week in dec. we stayed at a deluxe resort and saw no pop warner kids. nor did they impact the parks.

if crowds are not your thing the closer to christmas the more crowded it gets. avoid christmas week

We are going Dec 15-22 this year so the week before Christmas and I have heard it will be a decent week. More crowded as it comes to the end but hoping the first half is good.

I think as long as you avoid the throngs of rude teens you will be fine. I would skip the week between Christmas and NY too, incredibly crowded.
