Disney in Dec same time as Pop Warner

We are planning a trip to Disney in Dec and it is the same week as the Pop Warner football and cheerleaders will be there. Has anyone been there the same week as the Pop Warner before?

Yes..several times and I have stayed at the allstars while they were there..Truthfully I avoid it now simply because my dates are pretty flexible.They were not all that visible at the parks during the day.The evenings they were and other then the cheerleaders feeling the need to scream cheers on every ride,line or bathroom.It wasn't bad.I would NOT however stay again at the values during popwarner.Too many issues late at night with cheerleaders yelling and football players roughhousing in the halls.

What is Pop Warner? I am going 12/5-12....will they affect my trip?

Hi Goin2Disney2006! Pop Warner is a cheerleading/football contest hosted at the Wide World of Sports Complex. The dates are I think the 6th-13th, so the same time as your trip (and mine, our dates are the same!) I was a bit worried about it when I was booking, but from everything I've read, they are mostly at the Values and one moderate, but I haven't heard anything bad about it creating longer lines or such at the parks. HTH!

Thanks for this info!!! We still have awhile ('11 ), but are planning on going in December. This just sealed the deal on where we "wont" be staying during the trip.

Just a quick tip - book your December trip as early as you can because the resorts fill up fast in December - all month, not just around Pop Warner. It is become a VERY popular time to visit.

Thanks for the info. I saw on a post that someone kept running into group of cheerleaders who were a bit annoying....I would change my week if I could and go the week before but I can't....oh well, I am sure it will be fine
