Just returned from a wonderfully hot trip in our nation's capital. While there I visited the National Museum of American History and was able to get a quick hit of the magic by stopping to see the Disneyland 50th Anniversary exhibit.

The small exhibit had a Dumbo from the Dumbo ride and a tea cup from the Mad Hatter's Tea Cup ride as well as some pictures and other documentary memorbilia.

My DW was thrilled when I took her to the exhibit (I had seen it on the MNAH website). So if you are ever that way stop by and take a look.

Thank you for this info. I tried to find information on the Smithsonian website, but couldn't. Now that you've narrowed down the museum for me, I found the info!

I just spent the weekend in DC as well and had to go see the Disneyland Tribute on July 17 to celebrate the actual 50th anniversary. Here are a couple photos for those who don't want to go searching the Smithsonian sites:

A similar exhibit is coming to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI in September:

When I first heard of this I thought the exhibit was travelling from the Smithsonian to the HF. But the info on the site above lists different ride vehicles, so it looks like there are actually two separate exhibits.
