Hi, I just love these message boards. I check them often to see what advice other Disney lovers have to offer.

My family(DH, DS-14, DD-7, and DS-19 months) and I are going to Disney on April 12-18 after a three year absence and wonder if anyone knows how busy it is then.

We've been in February, July, and several times in December, but never in April. We were supposed to go the week before Christmas but my husband landed in the hospital and we had to postpone. We love it in Dec, it's not too busy and most importantly, NOT HOT! Florida's heat can be brutal!

We were there April 5th -17th in 2002 and because it was our first trip I had nothing to compare it too but I would say it was pretty busy. We got there at opening and managed to do all the rides we wanted to by 12:00, but then it was fastpass time. The major rides had wait times of 45-55 minutes and the not so popular ones had 35 minute waits. Being from Northern Wisconsin it was extremely hot for us (88-92) every day. We are taking our second trip December 5th-17th this year, hoping it isn't so HOT!
Hope this helps a little, can also add we had one day of drizzle most all of the day and one day of rain for about 3 hours.

I'm afraid it might be pretty busy. But here is a secret that I do to have a little quiet time. I get up at 5:30 in the morning and take a bike ride around FW. No one is up except the maintenance crews and the critters. The bike allows you to pass by the wildlife without disturbing them. Last November, my son joined me and on the walking path between FW and WL we saw two groups of deer grazing. One group was on both sides of the path and allowed us to ride through without doing anything more than glancing at us.

Thanks, we will be sure to hit the bike trails. We usually spend all our time at the parks but this time we added an extra day so we could really explore FW. We love to camp and it's such a nice campground!

To Lory, December is a GREAT time to go. Christmas week is packed but when you're going it will be way less crowded. My advice about the weather is to pack for cold and warm weather. We went in Dec of 99 and wore shorts and t-shirts the whole time. But in Dec of 00 it was freezing. That was a fluke though, it was the coldest it's been in Orlando in about 8 years.

Hopefully the Osborne (spelling?) family Christmas lights will be back at MGM. Absolutely beautiful!

Have fun!

That's easter week - its going to be crowded. Take advantage of EE days and just go easy. You will see the world in a whole different perspective from the 19 month old's eyes. You need to take lots of "get out of the stroller to run my little legs off" breaks which makes getting to all the rides a little tricky. April can get a little hot - it was in the '90s last year a week after this date - we were at FtW cabins then. That supposedly was unusual.

Usually my advice with regards to Early Entry is avoid it - that always seems to be the day that the park is the most crowded. We tend to go to the park which had EE yesterday. It seems a lot less crowded.

Your mileage may vary.
