Hi I am going down to florida the week after memorial day and I have 6 days there. The flex ticket which gives me busch gardens, universal studios, islands of adventure, sea world and wetn wild. I dont like water parks so that leaves me two days i day to relax and one day for disney. So I bought a 1 day park hopper I went to MGM, magic kingdom and animal kingdom last year. My questions is is it possible to do the expedition everest ride and do all of epcot in one day? Can I have a list of the must do's at epcot

You should be able to do Epcot in one day- there are not many rides and the countries don't take long. FYI- I hope you are not taking kids that week. I cancelled our trip for that week just yesterday after finding out it is Gay Days! Go to the disboards main page and look up events for a description.

Yes, gay days. We had reservations for May 29-June 2 and I while I was planning I came across an article that talked about it. (go to dis home then click on events and scroll down until you find the article highlighted in red) Apparently Orlando is just one big gay party from memorial weekend through June 2. From what I read they are not discreet at all and Disney does not warn families about it. I am glad I found out in time. Sure you see it everywhere and I appreciate that most are descreet in public and children don't even notice but I am afraid this will be different so I changed my reservations.

Gay Days at Disneyworld is a fine time to go!! First of all, you have to remember that some people will not go to Gay Days just because they are close minded (see the previous two posts). :confused3 There is NO reason not to go during this time of year. True, you will see lots of people in red shirts, supporting the event, but there is NO wanton inappropriate behavior. The previous poster said they are not discreet, and this is simply not true. I've seen a heck of a lot more shameful behavior from parents than I see from gay couples at DW. Since when has holding hands been so inappropriate?? Take a look at the Gay and Lesbian forums, and you will see that this is a great event, a fun time to go, and it is NO reason to change reservations... that is, unless you just can't be around people who are different than you. And that's just a darn shame.

That article you read, Disneymaniacs, is HOTLY debated. Try doing some more research into the subject. If you want to go down with your kids to Pleasure Island at two in the morning, yeah, you're going to see some interesting things. But heck, that's true at any time of year.

Going to EE and then doing Epcot should be doable. You will need to get a fastpass though for Soarin (especially) and then Test Track. Staying for Illuminations is a must.

Have a great time!

I dont mind about the gay days Im not there to judge or look at other people im here to have a good time. It actually makes me happier because now there will be less people there because of homophopic people. I will be there may 31 to june 5 but it ends on firday june 2nd right.

As always it depends on what you mean by "all".

EE is in Animal Kingdom and you'd need to be there at the rope drop. Since EPCOT and AK both open at 9 you could maybe make it to EPCOT by 10....10:30. If you are singleminded and don't let anything else at AK distract you which will be tough! Once at EPCOT better grab FF for Soaring first...

Then since you seem to be a "thrill" rider you'll want to ride: Mission Space and Test track. That's about it for the "thrill rides" but I'd also recommend the 3D movie "Honey I shrunk the audience" it is great fun. Then, if you were me, I'd spend the rest of the day in the world showcase, watching street performers, riding the Norway ride, shopping, noshing.....if you don't care about seeing "every" attraction and if you use FF for everything it is doable in a day I guess.

Be sure to make ADRs somewhere for dinner - world showcase restaurants are not to be missed! And stay for Illuminations - the evening laser and fireworks show.

Have a wonderful day!
