Disney Hotels sold out for my dates!

They're sold out 5/25-5/26. Does this mean that the crowds will be incredible? Or, do the Disney owned resorts often sell out anytime of the year?

I believe that's the weekend of,or before Memorial Day. We were there last year at the same time(left the Sunday before hand). Forgot all about it. It was congested. Good night and Good luck.

Have you checked a few different agencies/websites? My FIL just booked with AAA for the DLH for the week before that. Maybe if you call around you'll find a room left with someone. Also, did you actually call the hotel directly to see if there are any rooms left? They may have some reserved that are going to come available then - its worth a try! Good luck!

Since the 50th has begun the onsite hotels have been selling out further in advance. Thats not to say that they wont release some rooms before that time. Often they are holding rooms for conventions, and find they have more held then what they need. But, honestly, trying to book a month in advance you shouldnt be terribly surprised there isnt room available. Especially considering you are looking at the Thur / Friday of Memorial weekend.

We booked our trip for last Oct in April. At that time I still couldnt get what I wanted. I wanted a regular room at the DLH, with the 4th night free promo. There was nothing available. I ended up with a conc. room at the PP.

As for how busy it will be- the park as been very busy since the 50th started. You are looking at a couple days leading up to a holiday weekend. I would expect large crowds, but it wont be packed. The hours on the calendar are not reflecting Disney preparing for HUGE crowds.

Memorial weekend is normally packed so I'm not suprised that's the thursday and friday right before so alot of people are probably taking those days off as well. Have you tried calling the hotel directly?? That's a little over a month away as well so I'm sure alot of people probably booked by now.

I booked my GC stay for July in Feb., and just happen to be checking to see if rates have changed. I just found out that all 3 Disney hotels are sold out for 7/25-7/30!? Thank god I booked sooo early!!

Me too! We booked on Jan 19 for Disneyland Hotel for June 10th! If you ever thing you might be going, book it because you can always cancel up to 72 hours before but it is hard to get a room if you wait!

For our week in June, only PP has some view rooms left for all the nights and as much as I have been checking and hoping for a better rate, the fact that many of the nights are already sold out tells me that it probably wont be getting any cheaper! I just spent the last few months watching it go up and up! We booked a view room for 248, now it is 315 on the few nights left!! So book early, even if offsite, because as soon as the other hotels know Disneys are filling up, they start raising their prices too.

Good luck but do take the other poster's advice and call the hotel directly and then check expedia as well as anaheim reservations. They've had rooms when no one else did but at this late date, pick something else and go and have fun!

Should have been more clear. We already have ressies at GC. Just wondering if a sell-out on rooms at the DL properties automatically equals packed parks. (Since there are only 3 hotels, I wasn't sure)

Also, since it's a 3 day weekend and I consider DL to be a 3 day max. park (For most people--not diehards) I thought at least the Thurs. before Mem. Day weekend wouldn't be that packed?

Anytime you go around a holiday you have to expect an increase of crowds. So the answer to your question is yes, expect to see high crowd levels during your stay. Thursday will be the lightest of your stay, increaseing crowds on Friday and again on Saturday.

Is it really? We are going to DL this summer from the 31 through Aug. 3. Something I swore I'd never do But a friend of DD's is in a competition and we are flying down. I'd better get my rear and gear and make a ressie.

On the day of my initial post, it was showing as no availability! But today, I was on the Disney site, and there was availabilty!

I think I'm going to call the hotel directly. I've found I get better prices that way.
