Disney Hotels Sold Our 10-10 thru 10-14 - Is that possible???

I was checking the site for a quick trip from 10-10 thru 10-14 and then only place that shows up are the villas at the Grand Floridian. If this is correct, October is going to be a nightmare and I do not mean for the Halloween season either. I was looking for other Diser's feedback if they are seeing the same. I may delay our trip a year but this is crazy!!!

October is a very popular time, so it's very possible. And resort occupancy has very little affect on park crowds.

It's the weekend. Change the search to 10-7 to 10-11 or 10-14 to 10-18 and everything is available.

Yes, the most common Fall break for many schools in this country. Every year. Very, very busy.

Especially when the occupancy is taken up by sporting events (those people aren't at the parks for the most part).

A few years ago, wasn't that week notoriously known as "Jersey Week"? Then many other schools did the same thing- start school earlier and then have a long-ish break in October?
About 5-6 years ago, October was a good time to go if you avoided "Jersey Week", but that all changed.

Jersey week is in early November . Schools are closed Thursday and Friday for the Teacher Convention. Some districts close the whole week . Usually it is the 1st week in November. Don't know when it start but we had it when I was in school decades ago ( WDW was being built then).

Rise of the Resistance at Galaxy's Edge opening

Just to avoid any confusion for those reading along, the Rise of the Resistance ride opens 12/5/2019.

The land itself and the Millennium Falcon ride opens 8/29/2019 and will be a popular draw for the October crowd.

That's Columbus Day weekend. Don't some schools time their fall break for then? We are pulling our daughter from school for a few days to be there the weekend before (10/4-10/8) and there's still room availability at a variety of resorts then.

It is Rosh Hashanah on the 30th of September (Monday) and Yom Kippur on the 9th. Most northeastern schools have at least 3 days off across these two weeks so parents are willing to pull them out of school.

OP was asking about 10/10-10/14, which is why I pointed out Columbus Day. I'd heard that was historically a busy time!

Yes our school is out 10/13-10/14. We considered a trip then, but the reports from last year made me say no freaking way.
