Disney Hotel rates for 2010

Why is it that you can book for 2010 with Disney uk but the American site doesn't release its 2010 rates until late July / August

I know the dollar is still low compared to last year but I thought if we got a good quote in $ now compared to pounds, i'd go with the $ and maybe upgrade our Hotel

I am just itching to book something (flights / car / Hotel) - it will seem real then

I couldn't wait either - so I ended up booking through the UK site!!

To be honest, looking at the 2009 US rates for the hotels we wanted to stay in, the exchange rate would have to improve dramatically or the US site would have to reduce their 2010 prices considerably compared to their 2009 rates for them to work out cheaper than what we have now booked on the UK site!!

By the way - Where and when are you getting married?? (we were also married in May - back in 1998!!! on 28th, at the Wedding Pavillion - definitely the best day of our lives!!)

Not at Disney sadly We couldn't justify the expense and also we only want a simple ceremony as we've been together 14 years

We have decided on Leu Gardens and are waiting for them to confirm the date we've requested. Looking at my rough timetable for 2010 so far, I don't know if we can fit in a Wedding!

It is true its often later than ours they release late July early August, and *care* often if TA's take bookings pre this in $ they are based on WDW most expensive rate for WDW the previous year ie 2009, most expensive time, you can if you wish secure a room and then when the price falls reshop it.
