Disney hotel on-line check in

Online check in has opened up for us on MDE. We're staying at SSR. Question :
Is on-line check in worth doing ? what are the pros and cons. I've already put through a room request via the Virgin concierge.

yeah i'd say its worth it.
when you get there you don't have to wait in the long check in line.
instead you go to the online check in line which is shorter and basically they expedite the process.
since they know around what time to expect you they can easily have a room clean and ready for you even if you come before general check in time of 3pm.
we used it for our recent trip and got there around noon and had a room immediately where as in the past sometimes we've had to wait hours for a room to be ready.

I'm wondering if the area request part of on-line check in will overwrite my previous request ? You can't be as specific on line...only 2 choices. I wonder which request they will be able to see at the hotel ?

for us it wasn't worth doing. The UK flights get in relatively late and we haven't really encountered a long line for check in at our resort. Last November we did on line check in anyway and we waited longer then if we'd been in the normal line. We also had to ask to change location and this took forever and she still got it wrong as she didn't listen!!
I am not bothering to do it this time!
