Disney Hoppers w/Rci points

Have you ever gotten the Disney Hoppers using your RCI Points? Can you upgrade an unused Hopper gotten with RCI Points to an AP?

How many dollars it takes to turn in one of these hoppers and get back an AP remains an unknown. Normally the dollar value of the hopper is what Disney received wholesale for it.
