Hi there,

I am getting married in a small civil ceremony at the end of August, we are having about 30 people back to our condo party room for *ahem* yes... maybe pizza!!! We have been together 5 years and have realized that we should just get married, skip all the fuss!!! We are going to have a seriously moderate budget.

However, we ARE NOT going moderate on our Disneymoon. We are so excited for this! We have been to Disney twice together and are thinking that it is most important that WE have a good time.

So, I am looking for two things from you readers! They are:

- What have you done to make your day special but low budget??? I'm going to have cute napkins, favours, and intend to wear a nice gown (which I already have) but would like to do other things (rather than blow our budget on food) to make the day special.

- Second, I have noticed lots of posts about Birthdays at WDW, it is going to be my birthday during our honeymoon. However, I would like the emphasis to be on the honeymoon part. Disney seems to do such nice things during birthdays in relation to rooms, ADRs, etc. What have you heard of, or experienced that has made a honeymoon special at WDW???

All your stories and comments would be greatly appreciated! :goodvibes

Ok our biggest trick we figured at on our honeymoon 3yrs ago at Dis was to get the bride an groom hat. Yes he will complain he is hot, but wear them every place you go. We got so many freebies. We had dinner one night at Cinderella's castle and got free toasting goblets (really nice too), got a bottle of campaign from the flight crew on our way home, got to go on a ride alone (should of been 4 people in the car, but they let just us go alone). Got to ride in the parade even.. just lots of goodies. you can find the hats right as you enter the park and are really cute and cheap. Enjoy and congrats!!!

We didn't do the hats so much, but we got the pins, and they work the same way, just without the annoying don't fit well aspect. You can pick them up at City Hall in the MK. I also made sure all of our ressies and ADRs said honeymoon. We got TONS of congrats from CMs and other guests, as well as some nice Disney magic. Just don't go with the thought that if no one gives us something "special" my trip will be ruined. The thing with Disney magic is that no 2 people get the same things, which also means some couples get tons of little things and others get none. Personally I was just thrilled with everyone congratulating us.

Melissa
