MK.
No confusion, there.
Disney Springs - Saratoga Springs.
The Boathouse - Boatwright's.
Innoventions East - Innoventions West (as if we were all girl/boy scouts).
Disney Springs (
DS) - Disney Studios, Florida (
DSF)....punchline: don't be 'eff'in' confused.
And maybe the best example (along with likely other examples),
MGM Studios - Hollywood Studios...with a name seemingly changing faster than a Hollywood divorce.....with the decade old icon eliminated, like Pharaoh banished the works Moses.....Disney seems incapable of Branding this space.
Your suggestion of - DS,F - seems a bit contrived to me. You are more clever than that, often.
Then again, the lack of creativity from Disney at times can be underwhelming in the face of what can otherwise be extraordinary genius.
However, I concede the logic to Disney Studios: Pixar, Muppets, Star Wars/George Lucas, Marvel (at least 'secondary characters are welcome, no?), Turner Classic Films, Disney, and likely others - these are all 'studios' that are now part of or in partnership/sponsorship with Disney.
The name Disney Studios leaves room for future acquisitions too.
You know what Robo (since just you and I are having this conversation, ahem).....I am looking forward to AvatarLand. I enjoy Animal Kingdom second-most (after MK, of course - don't be confused, that's just only Magic Kingdom for now) and AvatarLand will hopefully be an addition to what is a Park filled with lovely theming. I really (really) hope they get the theming part down to continue with the existing feel, as if the place has always been there (a way that Hollywood Studios never felt, save maybe a portion of the vicinity of Streets of America).
One last thing - I'm betting Apple is part of the change/sponsorship(s) to Innoventions. The rumor started here.
