Disney-holics anonymous

Hello, my name is Fallon (Lyn for short) and I am a disney-holic.

I have been every year since 2005...even if it was just for a day. I am determined to keep this tradition! Luckily, my DBF is a Disney addict as well, so it shouldn't be too hard :goodvibes.

We met here, going strong, and will have many years of addiction left!

My name is Rose and I am a Disney addict. I visit WDW at least 3 times during Nov-March,usually for a total of about 25 days, every year. 26 days til my next fix:woohoo: I can't go during the other 7 months due to our seasonal business.: So I help my DS plan his trip, usually in Sept. just to keep the edge off

Wlcome, everyone!:grouphug: The first to step to "getting better" is admitting you have a problem, you know-- but don't worry I think we are all in agreement that this is not a problem, so, whew! At least we won't be getting better any time soon! :rotfl:

So...what are your favorite tools for planning your trips?? I like TP and TGM for planning which park which day. Those, and the DIS, are pretty much all I use. What about you????

Well, my co-workers would tell you it's a problem.....but they just don't understand. :sad2:

I use the DIS and TP for my planning. I also purchase a new TP book each year. Just in case anything has changed. :rolleyes1

My name is Kathy and I, too, am a Disneyholic. We went in December and are going again in April before our Disney cruise on the Dream. Even though I am retired, and can begin to train the next generation of Disneyholics, I still enjoy it thoroughly!

My name is Angie. I'm a Disney-holic.. looks like I've found the right group. I just need to admit my addiction. There's no cure for it- I've tried the 'Take a Trip Method,' only to find that as soon as I am back, I 'NEED' another trip. I've tried the 'no trip this year,' cold turkey method. That just gives me the shakes. Lately I've decided to embrace my issues and love me for who I am.:lmao:

No, seriously- We went in November and know were are going with family in November of '12. DH and I both said we'd take this year off. But the kids, well, my youngest anyway, isn't helping. Watching Lady and the Tramp, Dumbo, PeterPan, talking about Mickey Park, the castle, pie pies (POTC) etc... I think I have to get a trip in this year, for him... yeah, him....

Hi, I'm a Disney addict. It has been 2 months since my last Disney vacation, and (yes) I am already planning another for June 2011. Pleease tell me I'm not alone in my addiction. :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

My name is billybobblockhead, and I'm a Disney-holic. And it's good :thumbsup2

Our family is addicted also. We've made it to Disney 4 times, each time was a new adventure, found something new to do each time and am sure we still have not seen everything. Our oldest is in college now so not sure if or when we'll get to go again but we have lots of great memories (and lots of pictures and home movies). :)

Hi, my name is Lisa and I am a Disneyaholic!! Our trips are listed below and my first trip was as an adult. My parents started the true addiction when I was about five when I got a Magic Kingdom Weebles house for Christmas.

I am addicted and I can't say my family is any more or less...immediate family that is: DH, and all three DD's!!

We are taking our oldest DD21 and our Dgrandson3 in June and I can hardly wait.

We are also taking along with us our DD12's two tween friends from San Antonio who are also Disneyaholics. The one was just there for 10 days over Christmas and has been several times. They are going to DL later this summer and her parents met in high school and worked at WDW as CM when they got out of high school. From there he joined the Army, became a PA and then was diagnosed with cancer almost 4 years ago and passed in May. The retreat to WDW for them as a family of five kids and the mom was a bitter-sweet reunion and remembrance of the father/husband. They even ran into a few 'old' fellow CM who did not know of Pat's passing.

On that note, we are going to celebrate family and friends and what better place than to do it at the happiest place on earth!!

I have our Dining reservations made, the list of things we want to do at each park, our magnets made for the fridge in the room, our packing list, strategically planning how to pack it all in our Suburban without having to tow the trailer too, the grocery list, fun stuff for our room for celebrations and of course, the budget.

We are DVC members too and that takes a lot of the worry out of some of the stuff. We refinanced the loan through our bank and saved 6 years of payments and over $10,000 in interest!!! YAY for us!!

My husband is Active Duty Army and we had three Christmas's in a row that we had reservations for, but had to cancel. The first trip we found out three months beforehand we had to move from Maryland to Texas and decided moving across country and vacationing was too much. The next Christmas be booked and had to cancel for some unforseen expenses. The third Christmas we had to cancel because our extended fam wanted to visit us before my hubby deployed for 15 months to Afghanistan.

We booked a 6 night WDW vacation before he left the Spring of 2008. but he wanted more and we took a four night cruise too. Six months before he came home he wanted to head back and do it again!!! We did a 'Disney til' you puke' vacation. We drove 2 days from SA to San Diego and stayed 6 nights then went to LA and hit DL for 5 nights. Returned to SA for four days which was long enough to wash, re-pack, clean the cat litters and fly to WDW. We stayed one night at SS and then took the bus to the cruise terminal for a 7 night cruise. We took his parents and the LOVED it!!!

Can't wait to be there again!!

You are not alone in your addiction!! I daydream of my vacations and honestly don't think we would ever get tired of Disney!!

Hello another Heather here and fellow addict! We went right before xmas and just like after our first trip not even 2 months later and I am craving another disney vacation...Planning on December 2012 but I am also trying to figure out how to get a trip in this year!! Somehow!!

I think the addiction for me deals with just getting away from real life for awhile and just unwind and play!!:cool1::rotfl2::banana:

I am definitely a Disney addict too. I have one planned next month and booked the next one in the summer!

If I ever get "cured" from this addiction, then I will need to be committed... I'm perfectly happy being addicted. Went in August and November. Have reservations for June and December coming up. If I could afford more points, there would be more reservations! We can't ever get enough. Ever...

I count me in. I went in October with the girls for a mommy and me trip. It was supposed to be a family trip but dh work cancelled his vacations so Iwent with the girls. Even before leaving from that trip, our May trip was booked and here I am again planning an August trip with my sister.

Yikes, I gotta stop that

See my siggie. I broke down. I couldn't handle the withdrawal. I'm already trying to put together a trip piggybacked on visiting potential places to live in South Carolina. (Greenville, anyone?) DH gave me the OK as long as we can swing it.. so here we go!

We took a Disney Break :sad1: because I had our DD.:cloud9: I have a day trip planned for May, a trip for 2012, and a family reunion trip for 2014. :goodvibes

LMAO... you have willpower, I don't! I brought DS at 3 months! That year we didn't go because I was preggo was the longest. year. EVAR.

I want a T-shirt that says that! It has been 4 months since my last vacation and we will be back in 3 weeks. It has gotten so bad that I am not even allowed to discuss or current vacation until two weeks out. So dh better get ready because next week it's on! I have been bottling this up so next week, let the Disney flow freely!

I am currently trying to find a way to go next Christmas, keeping my fingers crossed! I am seriously considering moving as soon as the kids are grown and getting a job there, hope dh comes along!:rotfl:

U r not alone!!! I'm a champ at disney's scene it no one can beat me at all! My xbox live gamer tag is d15n3y nu+ or in English Disney nut I went to disney world in June of last year and already planning my trip in may of next year!! Oh bye the way my name is George And I am a Disney holic and will never be "sober" ever!!! " rofl "
