disney history book

Hi everyone, I am looking for a Disney history book, not so much on tour guide to disney, more of a history collector's book.

Santa brought me a really cool book called "Disney's World". It's a biography of Walt Disney. I havent started reading it yet, but it looks REALLY REALLY cool. It's by: leonard mosley, if you're interested.

We have two books, Disney War (which is more about current stuff and Michael Eisner) and Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination. I haven't read the 2nd one yet...

I have read both of the above. Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination is very well written and meticulously researched. It is a true history of not only Walt, but the Walt Disney Company during his lifetime.

If you have the interest and money to do so, I suggest buying some of the older Disney works that are part of the Disney Treasures collection and watching them as you read the Disney bio. I was watching Disney Rarities a couple of nights ago and the old Alice comedies are very entertaining. I also have Silly Symphonies (set 2 was released last week) and the compilation of Disney's WWII propaganda films. Watching these earlier works will give you an appreciation for the evolution of animation and allow you to directly relate to specific works discussed in the biography.
