Hello friends!
My wife and I are celebrating our 15th anniversary in Hilton Head in a little over a month. We are adding a one night stay at Disney mainly, as funny as it sounds because my wife LOVES Dole Whip (and I want to explore the resort)!! :rotfl: However I am worried about the fact that check in is at 4 pm and Signals closes at 4. Check out is at 11 and Signals doesnt open until 11 ! Will our key work the day of checkout, or would it be best to try to arrive early and try to check in ? Thanks for the help!!

We had our first visit to HHI in 2012. We arrived by noon and checked in. Our room was ready. And we ate at Signals for lunch. I believe you can still use the facilities the day of check out.

I believe we checked out on time but hung around for a while.....to be honest I can not remember. But my experience with almost all Disney resorts is come early and stay late.

We are leaving tomorrow for our first stay at OKW and VB. We are hoping our room will be ready early when we get to OKW.

Hey and Happy Anniversary!!! Have a wonderful trip!:cool1:

You can use the facilities the day of check in. Often we will drive down after work and stay off property- no need to waste the points. DH goes to check in around 8am while I'm still getting up.

Whatever time you check in you will have a KTTW card and a pass for your car to allow you to get to and into the beach house.

Also, you can go to Signals even if you are staying elsewhere. There's a side entrance (on the left if you are standing in the parking lot looking at the beach house). There's no access to the rest of the beach house, but you can use this access point for food. They have tables on a covered deck there too.

Thanks for the words of advice and wisdom!! I never dreamed you could go to Signals if you weren't staying at the resort. I guess that means a Dole Whip a day!! :yay:

Unless you are staying in Palmetto Dunes or walking/biking you do need a pass to get through the security guard before the beach house.

I thought that might be the case. I am just glad we can use the beach house during the day after we check out. That was important to us.

I was at Hilton Head in June for a week and went to Signals several times. I did not realize they had Dole Whips. Is this new?

They don't call them 'Dole Whips', they are listed as pineapple softserve or something like that.

We haut came home from HH yesterday. They are very struck if you do not have park pass or room key you will not be let in. There is a van that can take you over there as well. We checked in at 930am and villa was not ready until 3. We hung out at the pool all day and we did that most days. Great resort can't wait to go back!
