Hello,

My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon for Oct 9-13th in Disney, and we purchased tickets for the MNSSHP. We plan on dressing up (Han and Leia, a la "A New Hope", hey, it's a Disney property ;) ) and I'm just wondering about this celebration for adults.

I find a lot of wonderful things said about this party, but they are mostly to the tune of "My kids loved it!" Which is fine, but we don't have kids yet. what would you suggest, do you have insights, and... could we maybe do a little Trick or Treating? You know, just the Alice and Wonderland bits.

We are starting to get giddy. Our wedding countdown at this point is "14 days to the wedding... and16daystilDisney!"

TIA!

While there are many way for kids to enjoy themselves at MNSSHP you guys can absolutly have fun too.

If you have a sweet-tooth there are Trick or Treat stations all around the MK so it's never hard to find a sweet snack. Also don't forget about the fact that almost all of the rides are open with virtually no line (except for maybe the Haunted Mansion, but even then that's still a must see at a MNSSHP).

The parade is decent (the song from it will be stuck in your head for weeks), the Liberty Tree Tavern is open for dinner and at the very least the fireworks are amazing. The 360 degree scream along finale is beautiful.

Overall I don't think you'll have many problems trying to find fun at MNSSHP without kids, or anywhere at WDW at Halloween time. :)

congrats on the wedding, we will be there during some of that time too and we are going to the halloween party too have fun

pirate: My husband and I do not have any kids (yet) and we have gone the past 4 years in a row. It is a BLAST. If you love halloween make sure you go to the Mickey party, and Halloween Horror night.. both are a blast!!

We will be there the 10-16th!! See you there!

DH (39) and I (37) have gone for the last several years. We don't have kids.

The trick or treat candy goes out to kids of all ages.

The fireworks are great.

We've yet to see the Headless horseman go down main street prior to the parade as we were goofing off and having such a good time in another area of the park.

Kids of all ages have fun at MNSSHP, have a great time!

Oh I am so glad to see this...... We are going on our honeymoon the 22-28 and have tics for Friday night..... We were a little worried it was gonna be super kid oriented and we wouldn't have any fun.....

I apologize, but my 6 year old son just submitted his own posts. That is what I get for turning my back on him!

Do a lot of adults dress up? I am taking my dd5 and my ds4 on halloween night and they really want me to dress up. I bought an adult costume from the disney store, now I am just wondering how many others there will be. Am I going to be the only adult walking around dressed up?

:wave2: My husband and I have been going at Halloween minus kids for the past 11 years. Our kids are grown but that does not mean you can't be a kid at heart. The MNSSHP is fantastic and yes adults dress up and some of them are fantastic. You also have the Food & Wine at ECPOT which is primarily adult fun. Have a great time!

I think the best part of the MNSHP is the adults. In 2006 my husband and I went (we don't have kids) and didn't dress up but should have. This year my mom and I went (without any kids) and dressed up. I was Snow White and she was the Evil Queen. She even carried an apple all night. I can't tell you how many people stopped us and told me not to eat the apple!

You should have no reservations about going and having a blast without kids!Everyone is a kid at Disney World!

More don't than do, but:

those who don't are clearly envious of those who do.
