Hi everyone! It's my first post :goodvibes and already I'm going to ask my fellow Canadians for a favor... :worship:

I was wondering if I could ask someone who is going to 'the happiest place on earth' soon to grab an extra guidemap from each park and mail it to me upon your return. Hope that's not asking too much... :scared:

It's been sooo long since I've been there and my guidemaps are definitely dated...My boyfriend and I are thinking about going this fall so I'd really like to start planning and those guidemaps would definitely come in handy.

Hope to hear from someone soon! Thanks to all...and I'm so glad to be a new member!!!

Welcome to the DIS!

Unfortunately our next trip won't be taking us to WDW!

I will be taking a trip to DTD and if they have the maps at GS I would be more than happy to pick them up and send them to you.

I'll let you know upon our return after March Break!

Hello ans welcome to the DIS.

We won't be returning until next year either but we were down in 2004 and 2005. If you have any questions but sure to ask.

We are neighbours, we live in Douglas.

Thank you Scratch42 for offering to take a look at DTD...I'll keep my fingers (and toes) crossed that you are successful.

And a big hello to you declansdad, my neighbour! I'm a northsider too (Fulton Heights to be exact). I was so hopeful when I saw where you were from that maybe I knew you (Fredericton can be a small place!) and I know several people from Douglas, but when I looked at your photo album, I realized I don't. I grew up in Fredericton and at one time, it seemed like I knew everybody!

Well, I guess I'll keep hoping that somebody else reading this might help me out with this.

Thank you both for the welcome!

Buy a guidebook such as the Passporter - it has great maps of each park inside, or check out the EZ-WDW guidebook - it is almost all maps, many hand-made, but it gives you a great feel of how things are laid out.

I just got back, and loaned a friend my maps, but I have extras that I could scan for you.... would that help? You'd have to PM me with your email address.

Thank you TreesyB for the offer. Very kind of you. Could I possibly take a raincheck on your offer? I'm sure all you Disney nuts will understand when I say that I was hoping to have a real honest-to-goodness, straight from the World itself, guidemap in my hands. They should make them "scratch and sniff"! LOL! I've got it bad, don't I? I think I might try posting this request on the Theme Park Attractions and Strategies forum to see if someone there might be able to help me out (probably a wider readership). Still hopeful that a fellow Canadian will be able to help me out though...

No problem...we're here at WDW right now and will be back in a little over a week  We'll be glad to mail you off one of each map. Just pm us your mailing address and we'll ship them off as soon as we get home.

Before our first trip my wife laser-photocopied park maps out of a guidebook and laminated them...our twin sons, 4 at the time and both of whom are autistic studied and I mean STUDIED those maps before we went to the point of knowing exactly how to get to Buzz Lightyears Space Ranger Spin as soon as we walked into the Magic Kingdom :)
