Disney Guest Book Suggestions?

Hello Everyone!

I am planning a wedding and a Disney Honeymoon for this coming July. I am generally a lurker, and have gotten many great ideas from all of the girls sharing their plans and reports on this forum. You all have wonderful ideas and I have seen some beautiful results!

I am thinking about doing a guest book made from a Disney Art book, or something that would make a good coffee table book after the wedding. I am hoping for something with great illustrations (or something history of Disney) and has room for guests to sign for us. I am having a hard time finding something like this, and thought that maybe some DIS girls might have some suggestions!!!

I just looked through my extensive collection of Disney theme park coffee-table books, and what I found is that the recent ones are jammy packed with text and pictures, which doesn't leave much room for signing. The older ones, like the "Walt Disney's Disneyland" picture books sold at the parks in the '60s and '70s, have more white space around the text. These can usually be found cheap on eBay. A newer book, but one that is out of print, is Karal Ann Marling's "Designing Disney Theme Parks," which is an excellent collection of commentary on the parks and contains wonderful pictures. It is laid out with a fair amount of white space for people to sign in.

If you don't care about people writing on the pictures, there's a book called "The Disney Poster: The Animated Film Classics" which contains full-page color reproductions of posters for the shorts - they're really beautiful. And "The Art of Disneyland," which you can find at Disneyland, on eBay and maybe even on Amazon, has large full-page concept art in it.

We made a coffee-table book on www.blurb.com with our engagement photos at the WDW resorts, which allowed us to build in lots of white space for signatures. It was a big hit! There are pictures of it here:

Thanks Lurkyloo! I am definitely going to look into some of those options. Your blurb guestbook came out beautiful! I have been an avid reader of your pre and post wedding stories and missed the entry with the book! Everything you put together was beautiful and it looks like you had the perfect day!
